In the office today, but last night i moved my finished tulip pots from near the front door and swapped them for some pots just coming into bloom.
Cut back all the finished daffs, muscari's and tulips.
Gave my neighbour two lavenders I've had growing from cuttings since last year, as well as a rose i'd grown on from a cutting.
Noticed some of our peonies have flower buds on them (exciting!)
Hoping to spend this evening out there digging in some plants I've ordered from oneclickplants.
Kitchen project is getting there, only 3 more cupboards to go in before the worktop can go on :)

I am very cross with myself. I decided to move a tray of sunflower seedlings and dropped them all over the petunia seedlings.
I really must remember that I cannot do much with one arm still in a sling.
I have more, so will resow. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a total disaster.

All hands to the pump this morning!
Planted out seedlings of pea beans, dwarf french beans and the next lot of dwarf broad beans. The first ones are in flower now so hopefully the pollinators are still around.
Watered the indoor orchids, so dry now with the warm weather. Will need to put up the shading but not easy so keep putting it off.
Watered the other indoor plants as well as the carnivorous ones. They will need more water by the end of the day as evaporation/transpiration is very high at the moment. Good thing we had some rain last week to put some into the water butts.

Well got the ladder out and removed a couple of 3 ft lengths of stonecrop from the front gutter.
Later I need to water the greenhouse plants, so after lunch continue to reorganise the greenhouse for summer running.

Don’t be too cross with yourself @Penny_Forthem I managed to drop a tray of Cosmos slap bang on top of some baby toms this morning and that was with two (allegedly) functional arms :gaah:

And cut the grass - although I left a few patches because I couldn't bear to remove the flowers that the pollinators were enjoying.
                  I'm just a softie

About 15 years ago I bought a load of medium priced top soil for the garden. Unbeknown to me it must have been field soil because it was full of rape seed which has plagued me ever since. The plants grow into small trees and cast their seed everywhere. A nightmare. I am still fighting a battle with them.

Still got seedlings to plant, but I'm putting off planting until the weather is a little less harsh over the weekend. It was lovely to sit in the garden and look beyond what needs to be done. Sweet William, foxgloves, lupins, poppies, lily of the valley are all poised to bloom, the cheery and colourful pansies, all self seeded, are in full glory.

Sorted through a huge pile of containers separating what I'll be needing for bedding plants, tomatoes, beans and peas. Those that are not needed have been shoved behind the shed.

I feel for you @Goldenlily26 , we imported, an infestation of lesser celandine in bagged mulch, from a previously reliable supplier.

Volunteer day yesterday , mostly planting ground cover in the Japanese garden. We are using Leptonella, technically an alpine but it works well for that purpose. More resilient than Moss which is traditional.
At home in the evening I watered all the pots.

Have just planted some plants - Obedient plant and Erigeron - that we already had in pots into a new border in the front garden. Will add Cosmos when they're ready and then in the autumn there are some Fuchsia Deltas Sarah which are still plugs waiting to go in. It is so hot that the sweat was running off my head:SUNsmile:

Just cut the grass. Yes I know it's May!. I have only cut the grass about 3 times this year so far, it's been so dry it's not growing much.

Hubby's just started to cut the back grass, but it's not very big so won't take long.
