    Both of us had issues with our backs last year and we purchased online back support belts...stretchy with velcro fastening and has stiff stays in the back part that all in all are comfy to wear,,they can slide upwards a tad when bending a lot but really do the job they are meant to...

              Nothing at all....and I hate not being able to get out there. I was going to hop to the greenhouse and check on things but then decided that as they had all been given a drink a few days back it wasn't worth disturbing the bubble wrap and losing any heat build up.
              Did have a hobble and a hop around part of the garden and was amazed at all the bulbs that are now emerging. There had been quite a few anyway...we've had Daffodils since before Christmas, but I was taken back by just how many have recently popped up in the few days that I haven't been able to mooch around outside.

              I really want to start prepping some compost in readiness for seed sowing....too early I know!!! I will not given in to the urge....... I say this every year!

              Just need to sieve some and put it somewhere to warm up a bit...that's all.....I promise;)

              I am hoping to germinate most of this year's seeds in Ziploc bags. I experimented a bit last year with great success. I dislike having to have so many seed trays everywhere in the house....last year was so much easier with the bags, and they definitely take up a lot less space. :fingers crossed::fingers crossed: that this year's sowings prove to be successful too. You just don't know until you try!:spinning:

                Not to be a misery guts about this but is it such a great idea during the pandemic?

                Anyhoo, I've been thinking forward to when I can develop the lawn areas a bit more which will need even more relieving of compacted ground and soil topping / levelling. Where is a good place to get seed from? I've previously just got it off ebay and it's been fine but wondered if there's a better source? Currently looking at general purpose seed, around 5kg at 24.99

                    Not sure it's a problem.

                    They have said that they now think that the virus is even less likely to be transmitted on surfaces than they thought. The time it takes for the package to get through the mail should be OK.

                    The envelope is handled by the postman and is much more of a danger but still minimal. We receive mail every day, I open it carefully, remove the contents carefully using a tissue, bin the envelope and wash my hands. Probably overkill but I feel better for it.

                      Sowed some seeds this morning - pelargoniums and Salvia Farinacea 'victoriana'. I'm new to this so I've tried two different ways to see which one works better. Half are in the greenhouse with a heat mat underneath, the other half are in the house on a south-facing windowsill.

                        Just sowed some chilli seeds, scorpion, armagedon, kimono dragon and carolina reaper
                        Pricked out 15 lupin seedlings into cell trays. The cell trays are what the polyanthus plants came in, so recycling them.

                          Oooo nice. Good luck with thoseAdrianBG. Would be great to get an update on how the Salvia on the windowsill get along. I've just received my Salvia Farinacea 'Seascape' seeds in the post and they will be on a south-facing windowsill too when I sow them [don't have room for a greenhouse in my small yarden unfortunately :cry3:]. Will be my first time trying Salvia so would be great to hear how yours get along.

                              It was said as factual that surfaces made of metal hang on to bacteria for longer..i'e kitchen sinks..tins of food..so need extra cleaning..
