Dug up some garlic bulbs and left them on the surface to dry off, picked some gooseberries and weeded the fruit cage, picked a few raspberries. In the evening a bit of light watering and talking to the plants.

Back from holiday down in cornwall-garden has gone mad! Luckily my solar power watering system in the greenhouse has worked well and got LOADS of cherry toms growing.

Been out in my dressing gown dead heading this morning and having a bit of a tidy up-I've come in now for a cup of tea and to get dressed.

Had a surprise when we got home....a mouse had got in the house and had clearly been eating dried dog food in the utility room. Luckily, weve caught them..:two little tinkers caught in the humane traps-they love luxury granola bars. ha ha. They've been released up near the lotty away from the house....no more evidence of mice have appeared over night. Fingers crossed that is it now.

@Snorky85 we had a little baby mouse in our house last week. No idea how it got in. R managed to catch it in a glass and released it back into the garden.

Did some watering this evening and fed my patio rose. I noticed my all but one of the flowers on my white campanula has been eaten:hate-shocked:. And very recently as they were intact A few hours ago. A couple of weeks ago the pot of strawberry mint I bought was eaten and I blamed the Rats as have seen them around that area. However, 10 mins ago I spotted an adult rabbit hopping about when I looked out of the window. I didn't actually see her eating anything but she did look rather guilty :loll::loll:.

Whoo-a, something to say to my non-gardening colleagues when I'm back after a few days off. Just 4 hours of gardening and I have lost a stone! :yahoo:

Or two, or five. My new pond had too narrow shelves to hold the stones just below the water line so I made a layover shelving with chicken wire covered in black underlay. It looks pretty ok and once the Vinca Minors establish, the lot should be fine. The bendy shelving allowed me to bend an end barrier so hopefully no more precious stones or rocks are lost in the depths of the pond.

Frogbits are growing well in the pond and I can already see tiny lifeforms (potentially mosquito larvae) wriggling around the edges and slightly bigger lifeforms wriggling amongst the tiny ones, apparently eating them. This might be suggesting that something will be going horribly wrong shortly

Deadheaded Climbing Iceberg roses. It has subtle scent when in bloom, but when deadheading and spreading the petals around the scent is so beautiful. :)

Yesterday picked the raspberries, discovered both courgette plants andd one nearby sunflower have been reduced to stumps by molluscs, two yher sunflowers, sweetcorn and 3 squash plants, in the same bed, are virtually untouched.
This morning cut first two cucmubers (Carmen).

Went to assemble a bench but it's a pile of poop so back in the box with that!

Going to create another small corner border now and stick a tree in it :)

Yesterday's job was assembling this fellow which has finally arrived....

Really heavy - my daughter wasn't overly impressed at having to help build it, she doesn't 'do' anything heavier than a mobile phone usually....

Hopefully the brew will be of the colder variety... with some bubbles.

                                Bumper crop there @Logan :)

For some reason, my blackcurrant has died really suddenly - no idea what took it, but one day it was fine, the next it was gone.
