There's still things that need doing, like cutting the old blackberry canes and tying in the new. Also the Loganberries and just sweeping the leaves from the patio. But still recovering from the cataract surgery until the weekend.

There isn't anywhere else I can put it and I refuse to give up my runner bean patch for it. :) It'll have to go unfortunately. Thanks for your opinion Perki.

Nothing much as I'm having an achy day but I did do some greenhouse chores and also lightly watered some plants that needed it and Winter fed the 5 citrus plants.

I've got some Japanese Anemones in a pot - and was going to plant out. Should I hold back there? How thuggish are they?

They can be very rampant but it depends on if they like the conditions, free draining loamy / sandy soil would make them happy . I had a white variety Hororine jobert planted in clay / loamy soil in shade and it didn't spread at all but it wasn't the best pleased planted in these conditions I ended up removing it and replacing with something else .

Nothing again today, ear infection is still bad, wife phoned the surgery to see if they could put another prescription of antibiotics for me as the other lot hasn’t worked. Dr phoned back asking me to go to the surgery, just arrived home, I’ve perforated the ear drum , more tablets again and referral to ENT :mad:

Ooh, I've had that happen. Excruciating pain! My eardrum burst at the reception to the ent. Aside from being disgusting, it did provide a bit of relief :)

Can get a perforated ear drum from a ear infection, or had a blow to the head or poked a cotton bud in the ear.
Hope that you feel better soon @Lem

Thanks @Logan , doctor said it could have been the infection that caused it, wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy :)

Yes, inner ear infection for me and I was astonished at how painful it was, quite debilitating. Antibiotics and strong painkillers and it passed quickly enough though.

One branch on the flat roof, as soon as it's light enough and I've had a couple of pints of tea, I'll have a check round outside for any damage to the fences etc, unless it's urgent won't get sorted until tomorrow though.
