Planted 105 tulip and 25 daff bulbs around Alfie's garden. I've decided that all the tulips will be composted once they have flowered. I'm treating them as annuals from now on.

Started cleaning the steps to the garden and patio with Bleach and using Water Butt water to rinse and straight down the drain. I've tried Patio Cleaner but found it didn't work as well.

Cut some holly and ivy; these are stems I'd cut back anyway but by doing that now I can use them as Christmas greenery. I gave up on a Christmas tree when I first acquired a greyhound, fearing that he might regard it as indoor plumbing! But instead I fill vases for the living room mantelpiece with the holly and ivy and then festoon that with the tree decorations. I've just finished this year's attempt and am quite pleased with the results. The light's going now but I'll see if I can take a photo to post here tomorrow. Or maybe it would go better in another thread?

I found a tin of the original Jayes fluid, the tar oil one.;)
So mixed some up and sprayed the grape vines and the apples, which I have given a serious lopping.

Took all the Pelargoniums out of the cold frames for an airing. Removed any fading blooms and wilting leaves. Checked them all over for any lurking bugs ( none found :blue thumb:) then gave them all a drop of water.
