Got the coleus going under the new grow lights (never had any success with these other than plug brought ones).
            Chillis I'll do tomorrow.
Dead headed some pansies and polyanthus.
Un tied the trachycarpus fortunei in the front garden it's took a battering with all these winds.

You got a second (manual) vent, or just the one?

If only the one I strongly recommend you get a second. Hard to ventilate with only one, and no option to open the leeward side only. Hard to fit a second vent once the greenhouse is built ...

                  Hi all long time missing.
Birds decided that they would try to get my Vine Weevils out of a tray of Fritileria seedlings so I sorted them out and found more weevils and about 300+ bulbs so transfered them to new trays and compost.

                    (Tick) :)

Not seen the Winter Garden there before, but heard good things about it. We were really impressed and had a thoroughly good afternoon out :)

Curves serpentine path hides the surprise that is around the next bend either with wide sweeps of planting like this:

                    or with taller planting:

                    Some strong-contrast colour schemes too:

and a final section planted with lovely white stemmed Betula utilis jacquemontii.

Well worth a visit, if you can't go to see it in person there are some more photos on my blog:

They were lovely :) Bit hard to imagine how to use them, to good effect, in a small garden. East Ruston have a nice serpentine path, which works nicely and would be a bit easier to accommodate than the "Grove" at Anglesey Abbey, but (sadly) I can't think of anywhere to squeeze some in here. They ain't cheap either - particularly if you want a dozen or two for a feature :(
