Wrapped up the tree ferns with fleece heavy duty and them a wrapping of bubble wrap left the top open to let the rain in and stuffed old fern fronds and leaves in the center.
Left it later than normal as they can take minus 1 we had two weeks ago but I just think things are going to get colder in the next month or two, whats your thoughts ...... ?

Another slug hunt in the greenhouse same pots , and another 10 discovered and let loose on the lawn, Robin had the lot I was surprised it ate them all .
A lot of the bulbs are sprouting and one clump daffs has flower buds showing.

I planted dogs tooth violet bulbs in the Autumn nothing showing yet.

I gave the greenhouse a good airing from 10.00 - 1.00 as a lot of condensation on the glass and the floor looking very wet, cleaned all the glass on the outside a squirt of bleach on a damp cloth works wonders.

Bird feeder all washed out and cleaned and after a hour air drying back out ready and filled.

    Thats about it for now

Had another mooch around outside. More snowdrops are flowering and so are some eranthis. Lots of crocus are well on their way and so are the iris reticulata. Also my chaenomeles speciosa "geisha girl" has been flowering for ages - I think it's a bit confused! :snork:

Your garden is more advanced than mine Fern, my chaenomeles is only barely showing signs of life. I'm still only "viewing" my garden at the moment (and taking out the odd few weeds) but I'm closely watching just how many bulbs are kindly growing and showing promise. Each day I see another one poking the tip of its head out to take a peek to see if it wishes to flourish in these here parts :heehee:

                          Hi Woo

its a bit early to divide grasses , I would keep them in the greenhouse until spring , with grasses best wait for new growth and then split
