You're not quite getting the hang of this are you :pathd:

You have to pick them off the patio and put them into the compost heap ( the pooh not the hens; a cat litter "scoop" is good for this). If you insist on water, pop them in a bucket of water and make compost tea for the garden ;)

Not a lot in the garden. Pulled up a few dead bits and moved a few pots around, but that is all.

Not much apart from weeding some of my pots. The bulbs are all making an appearance now. The Iris are all flowering and the crocus are flowering here and there. I noticed there are plenty of very small slugs about! It was very nice to be outside as the weather is so mild. It's 12.3C at the moment.

I think you got me confused with some real proper professional type gardener. I like quick and easy results, so a detour to the nursery is the more likely scenario. :snork:

@Fern4 - I also noticed a lot of those tiny beggars about too. Action taken :paladin:

Had a lot of things I had to get done today, but played truant and spent the day working in the garden - it was such a lovely sunny warm day 15c so that is my excuse!

Nothing in the garden but did, after what felt like a staggeringly long day at work, go for a couple of beers then home to the the sofa and my lovely wife and daughter to browse the seed catalogues and leisurely order away :) Well, as leisurely as you can with a 6 week old...

Not exactly in the garden, but more in the workshop. For a while now, I've been looking for a small spade, and have been unable to find one locally. So, I bought this....

            IMG_3729.JPG

...and with a bit of cutting and cold grinding, turned it into this...

            IMG_3730.JPG

No doubt something similar is available in the UK, but here its proved impossible to find one. I hope its going to be perfect for planting some Japanese Holly, as well as some other small plants when the weather allows.

Have been working today so nowt really except standing pots upright and covering a few more delicate things up a bit first thing and moving things into sheltered areas, mildish here but the wind is very high and gusty.

@Sandy Ground - looks like a very professional job, @Zigs is I think a bit of a tools buff.
