@Linz the 4ft x 4ft is for a mature Hebe. I've had mine around 4 years. There are smaller varieties I think. Your top bit looks good :dbgrtmb:. Looking forward to bottom bit pics :)

Well today i washed the cushion covers to the garden furniture, then the 3m / 5m Parasols was jet washed off...new cushion lounger added and bless my hubby he came back from Aldi's with a throw over cover in case it rains.

We checked the two clematis's together...no buds what so ever on the one and on the other there was just a few at the base of the main stems but my hubby checked a few of the main stems otherwise and they'd rotted in side and was going hollow ...this winter as done my head in [IMG]....we've cut them both right down short and stripped the rest off the fencing...just have to see how they go now...they've been good ones for several years :dunno:

This morning was overcast, windy and threatening rain - what a surprise. Went to hardware store to purchase another Niger feeder as we counted 18 Goldfinches in the garden this am :yahoo: :yahoo:. Never had this many before, sure it's the Niger seed as didn't have it in previous years.

Whilst I was in the hardware store I also slid a Berberis Darwinii, 3 grasses, a blue Campenula and another white Scabious into the trolley :snorky: . Oh, and a large box of fish, blood and bone.

This afternoon clouds cleared away and :hotsun: :hapfeet::hapfeet:, although still windy. Decided that watching the birdies and drinking toffee apple cider with hubby was the best thing to do. I did have a wander down to the pond to think about where I'm going to put new grasses.

Wet this morning but its been nice afternoon / evening.
Potted on the lobelia into their final trays

Give the lawn a quick trim
Done some repairs on the lawn around the edge where it probably been damaged by overhanging plants or moss.
Somehow I manged to find myself hand picking bit of weed grass out of the lawn , kind of saw a little bit weed grass ended up with me crawling around on the lawn inspecting the grass :help:

Thanks Gail, the new fence will be full of runner beans for a few years through the summer while the climbers take hold, runner beans have nice flowers and a quick summer privacy fix, i will stagger planting them so i have flowers for a while also the bees love them :).

I'm shattered AGAIN! Mown the front lawn and edged it and hand weeded (some bad patches). My lovely neighbour helped me - we were both sat out on the grass pulling out some awful weeds but it was nice and hot.

Then tidied everything up and sat in the hot tub with a pineapple and rum lassi. ha ha. Then the weather was still so nice that I decided to cut up all the chopped down hebe and put it in a bag in the boot of my car ready for a trip to the tip in the morning.

Weather is forecast to be good again tomorrow. yay!

Well at least you'll see the beauty of the runner beans mate until the climbers take a good hold and no fence visible...i love to see the bees around the plants and they adored those bottle brushes...it was a battle to cut the lavender plants when they was in flower :snorky:

Been a glorious day...wall to wall sunshine and feeling quite hot
No time to garden but did check on plants in pots and in the garden; dahlias shooting inside and outdoors,,grass is growing fast and slugs convening in my heleniums, now taken care of during my night time torch and salt bucket combo.
Hoping to get more veg sown tomorrow :)

I did a load of mowing and continued working on the ShineyFrame. Also put some runner beans into soak.
