What do you reckon, a bit of gaffer tape? It's a really nice building with 'character'. More or less falling down being the definition of having character! Sunken into the ground with original heating paipes although the boiler has disintegrated.

Nooo, total re-roof maybe next year or the one after. Leaves have been cleared twice already! Loads of oak trees around me so have made a leaf bin to chuck them all into after vacuuming/shredding

Don;t be too envious @Upsydaisy , there's a lot of work required before its completely usable.

Might make a thread on it as a project

Have been digging out some compacted ground for a fruit bed area this after noon, double digging and adding in old leaves and uncomposted stuff at the bottom to rot over time then the turned soil back on top. So tired!

@lolimac Lewis got them out OK with quite a bit of effort. He used his posthole spade and an axe to cut the side roots. :dbgrtmb:

I've been taking cannas and the like in the greenhouse this week, we've had a couple of heavy frosts but things just seem to still be growing, I've took an agapanthus in cut back all the rotting leaves and there's new growth, the iris reticulata "pauline" are still growing, and the bacopa seem totally unaffected:scratch:

Just jesting with you @Loofah. I realise you've probably got a priority list as long as your arm. You've achieved a lot considering the restrictions of this year creating set backs.

Only did a bit of tidying and moving electrics around in the greenhouse.

And put out the last brown (yard waste) bag for pick up. Sad to be finished for this year. :(

But I received my first new seed catalogue for this year from Vesey's in Prince Edward Island and spent a delicious 45 minutes looking at all the things I could buy if I won the lottery and then settling in to start reading the details and placing slips of paper to mark the beauties I want and can probably afford.

And I can look through this every night without getting bored. :spinning:

Turn over compost heap, weed and then mulch either, with contents of different compost heap or leaf mould. Check plants that are in pots and the in the greenhouse.

About to do another section of jet washing around the front of the house...it's so slippery and I don't want any delivery people/posties slipping on our steps
