Nah, not really a lot of work, I have just extended it with words!

Besides, I am relaxing now with a glass of London Pride. We didn't have any Tribute.:cry3:

I don't think that I could ever take it easy, I just get bored too easily.
You have reminded me that even when on holiday in Switzerland a few years ago, I ended up sneaking off to help a gardener who was raking up the grass in the grounds of where we were staying. My wife was not amused. I just couldn't sit on our balcony and watch someone else work.

I cleared out a lot of things that were tatty and over now. Found some old rose heads that I'd missed and managed to fill up a bag for the tip.
Found a load of brown/dead ( or so I thought) clematis stems. Managed to cut them off and pull them away. It looked tidier - until I looked up to the floor above about half an hour later. A great wadge of purple Jackmannii flowers all dangling down and heading for the cemetry. I had cut through their life line.

Spent the day dodging the short, sharp, heavy showers trying to do jobs in the garden. So in the cover of inside the Green House I emptied the 4 large pots of failed Cannas and then spread the old compost onto the borders. Then I repotted 3 Cannas and a Musa Mannii into the large pots. There was another large pot and Canna to repot but some ants had decided to move into it and make a nest. I disturbed the compost and powdered it with Ant Killer and left it for tomorrow!!:snork:

Today I dug out an Abutilon megapotamicum that was being outcompeted by a Geranium, and replanted it elsewhere. I also made my own little 'succulent bowl'. Also turfed out a Balloon flower plant, into the front garden out of sight, and out of mind.

I know it, has a strong perfume - often sold as a houseplant.
                      Forgotten its name :wallbanging:
