    Greetings from Shoreham-by-Sea.

I've neglected some begonia corms to the extent that in the dark and without soil they've begun sprouting.

Should I take the growth off and plant them, plant them with some of the growth above ground or try to plant them with all the growth underground?

    Thanks!

    Neil

    Hi Neil

    :sign0016:

Today I am planting all my begonias I soak mine in warm water for 30 minutes just to help plump them up , mine will go into individual pots in my electric propagator but if you havnt the airing cupboard is ideal , leave the shoots on that are forming already and pot them up into small pots compost in the bottom then place the tuber with the round part in the bottom and the concave part facing up then cover with compost about a inch deep , if the compost is dry just add a little water you dont wont it wet and soggy you will make the tuber rot , when the shoots apear put them on the windowsill and turn the pot everyday day so they dont start leaning towards the light , lets us know how you get on and I will help with the next exciting part

Thank you, Spruce. So the rather long shoots that have grown without light or soil can be left? They're quite long in some cases and the top part would be above ground.
