I have just been outside clearing away leaves which over the last week with the gales have made there way into the Garden and i noticed that both my Rododendrons have got leaves which look as if they are being attacked.
they are being attacked by something which is taking semi circles out of the leaves but with all the wind we have had to be honest i have not even thought of looking at them i did but chicken manure around them earlier on in the month. can this be what is causing it???

Any chance of a photo, Barra? It could be one of several things but without seeing the problem it`s hard to pinpoint it. The 3 obvious ones are, Slugs, Vine Weevil and Leaf Cutter Bee.

Might it be a bit early for leaf-cutter bees? I've only seen a couple of bumble-bees up to now. Are the edges of the semi-circles smooth or rough?. Oh.Good result on the Rugby, Dai. Up for the Grand Slam now? [IMG]

Hopefully cajary, re the rhodos, Barra only says that he`s just noticed it, we don`t yet know when the damage was caused. This is why I asked for a photo.

Yeah, I'm sure. But photobucket won't even let me log on! I had a quick "google" and came up with this site http://www.rhodyman.net/rahome.html but I think the answer is probably less exotic [IMG]

    Gosh, we've double/triple/quadruple posted ...

Pleased you like the underwear sites, cajary. [IMG] I've had a love affair with nice underwear for about 42 years and I think it's made it's mark as t'other half (of 40 years) started his sites up about two years ago ... so obviously I have a good influence somewhere in this life. :D
