Other grasses are only just starting to flower and give a good display in late Summer and Autumn

The Cyclamen bed is coming into its second blooming (sometimes get a third one in November)
This is about a third of the bed - others hidden under other plants at the moment. The ground will be completely covered by them later.

We get some colour most of the year in our veg plot.

Lychnis, stachys and Verbascum chaixii bring the bees to the plot from Spring through summer. We shall now be cutting them back for the seeds and giving to friends.

and annuals keep a little colour there in summer

Shiney, I think the flowers on heucheras are not appreciated enough. Love the thick white flowers in pic 1 :)
            Great colour Mark :)
At Eden Project today it was amazing to see the size and magnificence of so many plants we try to grow indoors :)
Beautiful day, very warm esp in the biomes. The Bouncy castle was the killer though. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Mrs Shiney made up a lot of patio pots for sale for our Open Garden. All were sold but someone wanted another one and we had none left. So she said that she would make one. It was ready in early June but they couldn't pick it up until this last weekend (they'd paid in advance).

So we had it sitting on our patio on a manhole cover. :)

                  P1340280.JPG

After it went Mrs Shiney decided that she had got used to colour in that spot. So she grabbed a few pots from other parts of the patio and put them there.
                  P1350386.JPG

So they'll stay there for the rest of the season - unless someone wants to buy them . All proceeds go to charity. :dbgrtmb:

Amongst all the plants I've grown over the years Tricyrtis (along with Salvia) have remained must have plants. The beauty of them is in the detail as can really be seen at the following link............
