It's a good sized garden here alright so can't complain and plenty of horse manure next door to help the plants along. Just need to clean out the girlfriend's stables to get barrow fulls of it. Bit too much lawn area for my liking but the girlfriend is fairly insistent on having some and her Da helps out with the mowing with his ride on when he cuts his own. Just ordered some seeds for next year yesterday so will need to extend the vegetable patch and a few flower beds before the spring to have space to plant some more varieties I haven't grown before. Long term plan is to reduce the lawn area a bit every year so I don't get too many complaints.

Getting to plant trees and hedge row about the girlfriends farm as well so it's almost like gardening but on a bigger scale. Even put in a giant redwood I can see on the edge of a wooded area about 500metres away and its over 3metres tall now and hoping it will become easier to see in years to come. The countryside around is already fairly scenic so I'm trying to balance planting for shelter and keeping the nice views of what's already there. Missed getting to Portugal this year as we went a few times over the last few years and it's been very nice to visit. Hoping there will be a bit more freedom for that next year. Enjoy the warmer (than here) weather.

I agree about lawns @Macraignil I got rid of them and only have plants now, I think the best place for grass is in a field

Yes it is, the roses take a long time to start flowering but they still go on.

Jempsons of Peasmarsh is the store where Paul McCartney shops when hes here. His house and recording studio are on top of the hill in the village.
