@Verdun your Batisia lemon meringue looks good. I was thinking of something like that for the gap between my water feature and my apple tree. It would be in dappled shade in the morning and full sun in the afternoon. I had looked at lupins too.

Still wouldn`t use it. My neighbour fixed some of that stuff ''safely'' to her fence for a clematis, and her puppy got tangled up in it - that was more than 12 inches from the ground. Puppy panicked and I got to it with scissors before any damage was done. Bliddy stuff was wrapped around the pup`s paw, and the dog was freaking out...that was just a few weeks ago.

No dogs in our garden. There are only two dogs in 2 miles of road and they're fenced in because of the dangerous road (commuters speeding on the way to and from the station in the next town - police nab them occasionally).

That frame is the only one with netting. All the rest have the stiff plastic mesh but that netting has been there 20 years and is covered with old clematis.

This is what is used elsewhere (except where we use trellis).

Sorry to hear that :) Ours are in full sun all summer and need watering three times a day :phew:. When we go away we take them down, stand them in big pots in the shade of the car port and then they only need watering once a day. We have a rota of friends who come in and do the watering - and feed the birds. :blue thumb:

This is how they usually look during June

and then get much bigger later in the summer

                    Good morning folks :)

                    Looking good again today

Gary, baptisia lemon meringue is lovely. Blue buds turning yellow and attractive foliage too. Give it sun, good drainage and a warm spot. I have a couple of other baptisias here too, the usual blue and one called Dutch Chocolate. These are just coming into bloom :)

They're not this year's baskets but I hope this year's will do as well. :dbgrtmb: Those photos were taken in mid-late June but this year the plants are behind because of the bad start. They're brought on in a heated greenhouse for us.

Loving the photos, you all have such wonderful and interesting plants/gardens.
                          :spring:
When we moved into this house, almost 16 years ago, there was a lawn with a beautiful acer, a rockery, a veg patch, two sheds a greenhouse and a small sad skimmia stuck in a bucket! We still have the acer and the skimmia:spinning:. We recently demolished the sheds and took down the greenhouse, a new shed is being installed in a couple of weeks.

When the internet decides to play fair I will upload some photos, after all this is supposed to be showing you 'What's looking good in June'!!

@Snorky85 I see you have Rodgersia. I have a few of them. Very uncommon here in my neck of the woods. I love this plant.
