    Thanks longk for info about Indian Summer. As I thought, it is likely to be invasive so will contain it in a pot or corner of the garden. Purchased on a whim :)

          A few of the flowers in my cutting garden. I've picked lots of sweet peas for the house - who needs air fresheners? One of the joys of having flowers to cut is the pleasure of looking a them up close and bringing some of the garden into the house.
          @shiney How is Mrs Shiney's cutting garden doing?

                  @alana
                  At the moment it's not. :noidea: She hasn't had time to get started on it as we've spent all our time preparing for our open garden. We had about 400 people turn up. Just the plants we have at the moment have been sufficient for cutting plants. We've supplied foliage, and some flowers, for three church flower festivals, four evenings of flower clubs, three flower arranging demonstrators and I know she has someone coming round tomorrow who has 'pruning rights' in our garden. She's also demonstrating Tuesday afternoon and entering a competition Tuesday night. I know she has been growing some plants from seed that will now need to be planted out (we've just this afternoon got back from holiday).

                  I had a quick wander round with my camera and am downloading them to the computer at the moment

                    A few taken this afternoon , might look a bit out of focus as the wind is very strong here today.

                      Wow:hate-shocked: @shiney no wonder Mrs. S hasn't had time for the cutting garden. Your garden and associated garden activities are an inspiration to us all. Congratulations on your successful open garden weekend.
                      What a good idea giving someone pruning rights in your garden. I'd be wary about allowing anyone loose with the secateurs in my garden but would happily cut foliage for them. I'm a bit of a control freak as far as my garden is concerned:biggrin:

                          @alana pruning rights only go to some special people. They are also the ones who know which plants, mainly foliage, they're allowed to prune. Euonymous (we have loads of different colours) and conifer are the most wanted but we must have about thirty other types of foliage plants that are used.

                            We've just returned from a good holiday in the Lake District and I've been wandering around the garden.

                            Front path (don't think you could have worked that out :heehee:) with plants flopping all over the place.

                            Just a few shots of some of the beds.

                            The golden variegated Euonymous is very popular with the 'pruning rights' contingency so I'm not allowed to run the hedge cutter over them.
