It's about to start raining, yippee! Just put down more grass seed. But before it rains....
1559666299579-954748326.jpg The bird feeder hangs on the fence throughout the summer because there's lots of insects for them now. First year my rhubarb didn't limp into the summer. The hostas aren't chewed yet but the tree is the trunk of a dying tree hence the continual scattering of leaves. Going to have it removed soon

Loving my roses. The Poet’s wife is soo full of flowers that some are being weighed down, so thought i’d cut a few for indoors.

Agree it is strange to see @CanadianLori 's garden in full colour! Your lawn certainly looks very lush.:)

Beautiful roses @Snorky85 , are they scented ?

I've been too busy up to now to take any photos. The trouble is trying to get them when the lighting is good as I only seem to find time when it isn't :noidea:

Nodding grasses and Nigella are excellent for flower arranging. Both are very invasive.

As usual, I've taken much too many photos so you'll have to bear with me.

The plants in our garden are not at all organised and all different ones are crammed in together. Things are changing almost every hour as some are going over quickly whilst others are coming into bloom.

Looks stunning @shiney Foxgloves are so pretty and I love to see the bees enjoying them.

Ooh yes-yellow one is described as fruity with a hint of lemon. I wasn’t sure at first but now I’ve got 5 together you can really smell the lemon.

The pink one smells exactly how you’d expect a traditional rose to smell.

I’m surprised but pleased that the iceberg smells lovely too-its not too strong either.

We don't remember planting this rose or ever seeing it bloom. It's the most highly scented I've ever come across.

It was hidden behind the Cytisus battandieri (pineapple tree)

Thank you @Upsydaisy I have been obsessed with trying to get a good lawn for over ten years now. I have a neighbour on one side who is elderly and his kids only come around for a quick mow and nothing more and also I have Jethro and EllieMae on tne other side who successfully grow everything but grass and mow the lot about every month. The old fellow has dementia and won't let anyone but his kids help. No way to help...

@Snorky85 I will try to get more pictres of my other little successes however it is now chilly again and my motivation at the moment is limited to sipping a red wine spritzer and writing out tomorrow's to do list.

I'll post pictures of my little cannabis friends too. Once they finish shivering sometime later tomorrow ;)

The pretty caterpillar of the Mullein moth has been attacking the wrong Verbascum! It's currently on one of the Chaixii

Fortunately for pretty boy we have almost a hundred Chaixii which are preferred by the bees - this is a shot of Chaixii from last year

Campanula have just started opening in the last couple of days. Another pretty but invasive plant - so we have hundreds around the garden
Different colour tones but none of the deep purple yet

Just waiting for these to open. They self seed all over the garden - you can see some of the (blurred) in the veg plot amongst the runner beans in the picture above

Some of the Heucheras have just started to show their delicate flowers. I've just realised that it's the ones with the lighter coloured leaves that have flowered first. The purples and greens haven't flowered yet.

Phlomis fruiticosa is a shrub version of Jerusalem sage and, for a change, has started opening before the perennial version 'russeliana'. So I guess the russeliana will get annoyed about being beaten into opening and will open within the next couple of days
