    Thanks Perki :) The Phormium is just tenax 'Sundowner' AFAIK. Unlikely to be anything recent or special, bought over here.;) The GCs stock 'Yellow Wave' and Purpurea, occassionally a cookianum hybrid and that's your lot :biggrin: The first Magnolia was supposedly 'Heaven Scent'. It isn't, but I'm not going to rip it out now!

              Having a re-work and the Strelitza nicholai is being taken away tomorrow but this shows the height of the Callistemon viminalis in the background ...

              Callistemon 11 Mar 21.jpg

              Closeup from other side ... well, as close as one can get when it is nearly power line height ...

              Callistemon 12 Mar 21.jpg

              It is stunning!

                That's a lovely Euphorbia @Victoria, mine needs repotting I think because it looks rather scruffy.

                I didn't know Callistemon grew that tall, it's wonderful ...

                  @Michael Hewett

                  I love the mixed colour of the E milli but even here it is an eyesore in Winter for a few month when it is a trunk with thorns!

                  It amazes me, I bought the Callistemon in c2008 about 4-5 foot tall ... and it grew, and it grew, and it grew ... first blooming after I bought it ...

                    @Victoria I've never seen them like that. I've only seen them as small scrawny shrubs and that's why I've never liked them. I've changed my mind now :smile: although I don't think they'd grow like that here.

                      Bob's Tinsie this morning right by the front door. She is self cleaning - as you can see by the dropped blooms on the lawn.

                        And, at last "China Clay" has revealed her first bloom. A large bush with enormous buds - stands taller than me and will need pruning in May.
