What's Looking Good In May 2022

    Buddleja aff. alternifolia, the type from Tibet once called Buddleja tsetangensis. It's being sold as B. x wardii KR4881, but a trawl through the literature convinced me it isn't that hybrid.

    I've cheated, the photo was taken late April, but it's in full flower now. Shy to flower, as most years the late frosts have wiped out the flower buds. A small rangy tree, with lax branches.

      I were in Manchester city centre last night and noticed some paulownia trees just starting to come into flower , I were a bit taken back to see them I had to look twice I didn't even think to try and take a photo maybe next time.

          Azara serrata, from Chile cold winds have blackened some of the leafs. The flowers are larger and more accessible then those on Azara microphylla; although they lack the delicious chocolatey vanilla smell

                      I am totally surprised sorting some pots I found the Beloperone guttata Yellow alive with a bloom ... now I will nuture it as it is my second attempt.

                          Convallaria majalis in a pot ... I have spent years trying to get this plant to grow in my garden but it always dies off so I put this one in a pot a few years ago and at last it is flowering :smile:
