I think I grew that one year and it took all summer in the greenhouse to come up with a very late flower.

Root suckers, yes, I seem to remember I had a tree of A. melanoxylon for a fair few years and it got pretty big before one cold winter killed it.
But I do remember it suckering when I damaged the surface roots.

I thought that Gibasis pellucida had croaked over the winter but there was clearly a small bit of viable vegetative material lying around in the greenhouse as a small plant emerged and finally it is blooming.............

Salvia 'Amistad' came through the winter unharmed and still looks good.............

The planter with Fuchsia triphylla in is still blooming well...........

Just posted a video showing some of the blooms and some of the autumn colours starting in the garden here for October.

              Happy gardening!

Lemon tree moved to a sheltered corner for a week before bringing into the porch.

Cosmos still doing well despite their recent battering.

The corner rockery was overhung by the Tecomaria capensis so I had Ben cut it back a metre from the ground so the rockery can be re-established for the Spring.

Also had him tie Bougainvilla in Almond Tree up over gate.

Aster 'Professor Anton Kippenberg', flowering a tad unevenly ATM due to being shaded by the Eupatorium cannabinum all Summer, but the flowers should balance out now I've chopped it down. :)
