I managed to take a few photos before my camera packed up for the last time . It wouldn't focus properly and then, doesn't matter what I did, it zoomed in fully without me touching anything. I then couldn't get the shutter to work. I expect cameras to last longer than its twelve years and almost 150,000 shots . New one should arrive in the next few days.

And this bush I call my Fairy Fuchsia as the flowers are very delicate and just over an inch long. The bush has stood about 6ft high for years and never seems to get any older.

Well, to be honest the new camera is showing the Ipomoea in its true colours,:yay: it always came out a sad looking pinky blue, its not hardy but I grow it from cuttings not sure you can get seeds.

Crinum been outside probably 20yrs, but does attract snails in wet years.

                    I love james grieve apples!
They are a real all rounder.
Good eaters but also very nice in pies and crumble.
We've found that they hold their shape in cooking but don't need half the sugar that bramleys do.

I love Jonagold can get them here at our most expensive privately owned grocery store (we have three now). Here is a simple Compote recipe you can use with your apples.

I feel a daft question coming on, how do you puree the fruit?
And where can I buy some hairy string?

But seriously, I get lots of apples and I never really use them, a few jars of something would be good.
Do you just boil the apples up until they go mushy?
