What's looking good January 2024

Thanks Michael , yes they certainly are an uplifting sight at this time of year.

 

Prunus amygdalus, Almond in bloom. This is a self seeded baby near out entrance gate (from the mother tree the other side of the wall and gate) ...

 

Lovely Vicky..looks a nice sunny day too, I'm just heading back out into the freezer..oops silly me...the garden for the afternoon.

Hello all, first proper post on this forum.

A pretty lean period up here on the edge of the Peak District but there's still one or two flowers which lift the spirits.

Winter Honeysuckle deliberately planted next to where we park the car. The scent is absolutely gorgeous.




Although not flowering profusely at the moment, there isn't a month when my wife's Wallflowers don't produce a bloom.




We don't have many Hellebores but this recent acquisition - 'Christmas Carol' - has been flowering in a pot since just before the big day.




And of course the obvious January highlight - Snowdrops. Here fighting their way through the Persicaria bed.

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis buds ...

 

Love the colours Vicky...especially the blue of the sky! No honesty looking lovely.
