Beautiful new foliage on the young Camellia. Hopefully next year it won't open all its flowers facing the fence ...

From a packet of 5 dried pieces of mixed Incarvillea roots from Lidl in March. Nothing for 6 weeks and then gradually they grew and now attempting to flower. Should look good next year.

You were lucky with the incarvillea @strongylodon - I will have to try them next year because I'd like to get the white one. The normal magenta one flowers too low and looks a bit odd IMHO.

@CarolineL I wasn't expecting any flowers at all, hopefully they will grow and flower at the normal height next year.

I used to have a decent Incarvillea patch years ago, it was all the rage.
Don't see it so much these days but still a good plant, never had a white one.

I've just realised that I haven't posted any this month so there will be quite a lot of shots. I still have my rubbish camera so end up deleting over 50% of my shots.

Yellow is the in colour at the moment but others still manage OK

Cytisus batandieri bloomed early but has started to go over rather quickly
