I have such Weigela, Sheal. If you could take pictures of before and after what you do in Autumn after pruning, maybe it helps also my Weigela, which I pruned in 2020 not knowing what I did. My one looks in height and width like yours and doesn't grow since I used my secateurs ...

I have been so impressed with the Antirrhinum Doubleshot peach, that I have ordered more seeds. Yes, a bit late to be sowing them for flowers this year, but I'll treat them like a biennial and hope for a good display next year.

Nemesias and a Calibrachoa left in the ground and have taken -5c on a couple of nights during last winter, much hardier than advertised.

I won't be pruning until all the leaves have dropped @simone_in_wiltshire but I will let you know when the time comes. :)

It's possible yours doesn't like its situation in the garden or possibly the soil. I tried to grow one in my previous garden but it slowly died. I don't think it liked the sandy soil and the open aspect.

My Weigela was bought in 2020 and found it first place in a pot, which it liked very much. The label said, prune in Autumn and I did by cutting it half way. As mentioned before, I'm poor in pruning.
Since then, it hasn't grown in height but generates happy leaves and flowers year by year. I only wonder why it's not bigger. Even new grow remains in the same height.
The label said 75 cm, and it remains at about 40 cm since I pruned it.
