I just love this time of the year when the garden is starting to wake up, every morning brings something new :)

@pete All three of my Protea cynaroides buds never developed and just dried out for a second time. I was hoping to see it flower for the first time.

I had one or two flowers on cynaroides this year, but other buds just did nothing. Also Tasman Ruby is having an off year. I think it needs repotting but I can't deal with a bigger pot!

I've not had flower buds not develop, usually once they start forming in autumn they go on to flower the following spring.
                  Edit,
I know they come from fairly hot dry places but I find that if the compost is well drained they actually like a fair amount of water, not sure if that helps.

looks great, and I love the rabbit.

I have an artificial Palm and Ficus Benjamina in my lounge because it is an old cottage with lack of light
                        indoors.

Thanks @Victoria - that rabbit came from a shop in Liverpool 25 years ago. It was rather a dull colour against the bricks of the house so it received a coat of paint:yes:

1st flower on my newest little osteospermum, bought as a starter plug and rather vaguely labelled "blue". Now, as we know, "blue" usually means any shade of purple, so I am deeply chuffed this one really does look blue. :hapydancsmil:
