Just went out in a break in the rain to make a video of some of the plants still in bloom here. I like seeing the autumn leaf colours beginning to spread about the place as well. Only saw the one bumble bee which is a dramatic drop off in numbers but woudn't be surprised if they want to wait for a drier day to go to work. Amazed to see a hummingbird hawkmoth yesterday and the day before as only seen them in the height of summer in previous years.

          Happy gardening!

@Michael Hewett still looking good, the last photo of the callicarpa berries looks a little blurry, but the other 2 are fine.

Probably slightly blurred because the camera was focusing on the background.

I stopped cutting back the Erigeron karvinskianus, Mexican daisies, just giving them free rein, and they are flowering abundantly everywhere. The rose hips on various rose bushes are turning red and I will leave them on the bushes until spring. Feverfew still flowering quite prolifically. A few nasturtiums and marigolds. Decorative cyclamen leaves, showing with other things cut back. Plenty of miniature violas in various colours, but they do take a lot of constant work and not as effortlessly floriferous as Erigeron. Still a few Morning Glory flowers, but a lot less than at their summer peak. Miniature rose "Angel Wings" still flowering well, and still get the occasional rose flower on other roses. Verbena bonariensis still flowering and still attracting honey bees. Shasta daisies starting to flower again, after getting destroyed by slugs in the summer and being cut back, and a pot of purple daisy chrysanthemums is full of buds and hopefully will flower soon. Bacopia still flowering prolifically. Odd flowers of other things, and a Salvia in the ground starting to flower well, lots of purple flower spikes. Blue lobelia still flowering a bit after being cut back heavily about a month ago, and hopefully like last year it will come back massively early next summer without having to plant seeds, I love their swathes of deep blue which is an unusual colour in the garden.

I planted various things to keep me and the pollinating insects happy over winter and early spring. I planted loads of crocuses and violets, fingers crossed the Saxifraga arendsii and cyclamen will flower over winter, and I keep planting more viola seeds in the hope that I get some flowers over winter and early spring.
