Yes they can be a bit of a "money pit" but a good investment when completed.

There's a VW association which values these completely restored campers. This is necessary for insurance purposes.
This one is valued at £16,000.
Others, particularly the same model with the "panorama" windows between the side windows and the roof, can go for upwards of £35,000.

Then there's ones like this one, next to Ruby; disc brakes, lowered suspension, wide alloy wheels with low profile tyres and a Porsche engine.
