    Very cold but been nice sunny day not as icy cold as yesterday been in my greenhouse all day so just in now.

    The temperature dropped to zero by 7.30 last night but had risen to one degree by the time I got home at 11.30 :scratch:

    This morning it is 4C and sunny :thumb:

    Cold, rainy/sleety and very dark grey clouds going over :(

    Did you hear that this is the first time it has snowed in October since 1934
    - so it has happened before albeit just 74 years ago.

    I can remember a heavy but brief snowfall in August about 1938 when parents
    had taken us for a day at Great Yarmouth. Everywhere was white for about half
    an hour.
    I can remember sitting licking our icecreams whilst sheltering and waiting for it to clear.
    Oooh! the thought of doing that makes me shiver :)


    I am sure you will be thinking about us Marley while you are sitting in the sun

    Evening all We have a terrific storm here Torrential rain,thunder and Lightening its been a couple of hours now ,but the Suns up there somewhere :thumb::)

    Morning Helen and Walnut Well it seems that if you take the Clouds Silver lining you get a severe storm for 4 hours so to day I am going to put it back:lollol:It is now the calm after the storm ,Dry but very damp underfoot but no Flashes in the sky,have a good day:)
