Here's what Which? think is four of the best composts for raising young plants.

J Arthur Bower's Traditional All Purpose Compost 56 litre [100 per cent peat] - scored 81 per cent.

B&Q Verve Sowing and Cutting Compost 12 litre [75 per cent peat] scored 81 per cent.

Westland Gro-Sure Seed & Cutting Compost 30 litre [80 per cent peat] scored 73 per cent.

B&Q Verve Sowing & Cutting Compost 50 litre [40 per cent peat] scored 71 per cent.

I have been using Westland Gro-Sure for the last two years . Needed some on Sunday and my local GC had none , I nipped down to B and Q , and bought the Verve 12 litre . So it looks like my season is off to a good start :dbgrtmb:

Used some this morning for sowing some snaps as I want to get them off to an early start. Lovely stuff. I like it better than the Gro-Sure.
