Loli just seen your posting while I have been fluffing around making a cup of tea in between posting that is. Glad you had a good girlie time yesterday and Wow to your elderly aunt she is doing well.

Hi to Eve and AB. I am losing it. here. I went a bought a whole load of daffs and narcissi yesterday and some Sweet William, they were my dad's favourites. I wanted some wallflowers but am a bit early for them. I shall have a day of bulb planting though I wont rush to put them all in at one.

Morning all,

Up with the lark, already had a go at tidying up the garage, to make room so that I can pot
up 48 pansy plants that arrived yesterday, too cold in there at the moment, so will go in later.

Got about 3 litres of strained apple to make some tasty Apple and Piri,Piri Jelly, a real head banger.

My landlord is repairing the window frames to the garage this week, hopefully he finishes
today, then I can work on the bed in the front of the garage.

How I hate those cold callers with a vengeance, I start off by seeming interested, then I say I have to just answer the door, and leave them on the phone .............. going back after 10 minutes.

Shiney - sorry to hear about your foot again! I know this may sound daft but have you tried wiping the inside of your shoe with a cloth dampened with white vinegar also soak socks in a white vinegar before washing them. You can soak your foot in a solution of it too. Promise you will not smell of it! Then use tee tree oil after. Don't mean to interfere or be impertinent, just wanted to help Sounds really sore!

Moyra I always grow sweet Williams too as a token of love- it's my link to my grandma who died when I was a babe. It was her favourite flower according to mum.
Eve I can recommend the 'book people' for a great selection of easy to follow recipe books! A few man kitchen gadgets and you can sit down and be treated to a lovely meal ................ And a full sink of washing up

Afternoon all

Back in the UK again. Dad is much the same, thank you to all who asked. Think we're in for a bit of a long haul again so I'll go back to France next week and get the dogs so I can stay for as long as needed.

Glad you had a lovely birthday Loli and hope you enjoy yours today Zigs.

Adendoll, I think it's too late for my OH. I even tried to show him how to do some really simple things in the slow cooker and it was too much for him . But he has to cope somehow when I'm away and there's no chippy nearby. Hate to think what he eats half the time.

I can't believe I am already on the computer!

Got a busy day today, Got to take Fred over to the clippers for his hair cut. It's market day today,so I want to check out what they have. There are a few last things I need to clear up
before the weekend.

Last minute cooking to clear up some more strained apple. Yesterday it was Apple with Piri Piri Jelly, and Apple and Ginger Jelly.

Today, I think I shall just bottle the liquid and sort it out for another day. I have nearly got through a box of 8oz jars(198).

Tomorrow I am hoping to go to Reading to do a boot sale, so I will have to get the car loaded
this afternoon. I have some last minute posters and labels to print and cover.

Somewhere amongst all that I better make some time for me.!!

Zigs, the smell of fish drying on the dashboard does not appeal somehow, the number one son has just gone carp fishing again. I think it is time he went sea fishing for a change.
