Zigs: are you sure that was the wind *outside*

Moyra: Hope you and Amber enjoyed your amble and made it back before the rain began. It's threatening rain here, but hasn't begun (yet) but, the wind is definitely picking up (I'm blaming Zigs ).

I don't mind dull, grey, windy weather - well, not at this time of year at any rate - to me it means: casseroles, steamed puddings (not that I eat the puddings, but I don't mind making/smelling them) and cosy quilts to stitch and maybe, just occasionally, a little mulled wine.

Oooh, yes! I discovered my little brass plaque yesterday, that belongs in the garden, which I picked up at a flea market and it reads:-

Sing you a song in this garden of life
If only you gather a thistle
Sing you a song as you travel along
And if you can't sing: why, just whistle!​

And on that note: wishing you a day full of song. xMx

 

Good evening ..Hope everyone is having a good day so far...Its been blowing a gale here most of last night and has continued to do so today...Woke up feeling unwell this morning..Did not go into work today..Sore head,sore bones,feverish,my throat aches like hell..Yup you got it guys man flu..My wife says that anyway lol...Did manage half a bowl of sugar puffs earlier..My girls came into see me and offered their chocolate bar earlier..Enjoy the rest of your evening guys

Wishing everyone well...Aren't these colds a nuisance even they've changed tack ,they seem to make you feel rotten for a few days then just when you think the coast is clear they come back again what happened to the good old sneezing and runny nose type of cold? instead they never seem to amount to much but make you feel blahhh instead...Keep wrapped up chaps and take it easy

Its cool and damp here this morning, but no frost so that works, however the stove goes off and on when it cools down in here.


I wasn't on yesterday, I forgot that I got a notice a few weeks ago that our power company was replacing poles on our street and work stared at 7am and finished up around 5pm.....plus I was in Toronto for a bit too.


We had a great weekend, celebrating Daniels 1st birthday, and now this up coming weekend is our Thanksgiving and have a bunch of plans, Saturday we are taking 15 people out to dinner, our treat since we cant fit that many people in our house, or around the table.


Off to do some errands that I didn't get done yesterday......so enjoy your day everyone.
