Hello all, mind if I join in?

What to do on a very rainy day when you can't get out in the garden? No point in cleaning as the dogs will just traipse mud in faster than I can mop it up (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :snork:). Think it'll be a cook up day - got loads of mince so will make a big batch of chilli, a shepherds pie and maybe a lamb hotpot as I got some cheap at the weekend. The freezer needs a good sort out so I'll probably find something else that needs cooking too.

Hope you all have a great day.

        Aloha Everyone,

Well it looks like my bid was unsuccessful. I tried phoning them yesterday after 4pm but couldn't get through and when I looked it up on the website it just said it had been allocated. Oh well maybe another time. I think I should look at other private lettings.

Well it was a terrible night and morning but it has certainly turned out nice now. Hope everyone is ok. Do take care of yourselves and enjoy the sunshine it is supposed to snow tomorrow. Yuk.

        Aloha!:wub2:

                Aloha everyone,

                Welcome, Eve :dancy:
Another day nearer to summer :heehee:

Mrs Shiney is improving gradually :blue thumb:

Ah, Yes. I forgot the wayward one! The Chicken Whisperer :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Sarafi is a peculiar cat. Yesterday morning he was fast asleep in the greenhouse, as is his wont, whilst it was pouring with rain - not unusual in any cat.
Then he got up, walked outside and stood on the patio, watching the birds on the feeders for about five minutes, then wandered around the patio for a couple of minutes before strolling back into the greenhouse.

That, also, sounds not unusual for a cat - but it was pouring with rain! He never seems the least bit concerned about rain or water. Quite often, during the summer, he's fast asleep in the greenhouse and Mrs S, unintentionally, hoses him down when she's watering because he's hidden in the undergrowth. Does it bother him? Sometimes he doesn't even bother to stand up to shake himself off!

I had my annual optician's check up yesterday. Apparently I now have a slight touch of cataracts. It's nowhere near needing to think about an op. I've ordered new lenses for both pairs of glasses and they'll be ready in two weeks. The manager at the opticians always deals with me personally as she knows that I can detect even the smallest error in a prescription. She says that a lot of people just seem to accept slight errors in them when they shouldn't.

Lots to do today and friends coming for dinner tomorrow - so I'll have to do the shopping for it.

                Have a great day

                Aloha!

                  Aloha everyone,

What a foul morning. I had two raincoats on this morning and still got soaking wet. Amber loves the rubbing down and drying off with her towell though.

Shiney, I hope Mrs S will soon be fully recovered this lurgy is really bad.

Loli, Don't think you will get much done in the garden this afternoon if your weather is anything like ours.

WOO, thanks for reminding us that today is the last day of February.

Have a good day everyone, God bless.

                  Aloha!:wub2:

                  Morning all

Woo - do you always get up that early? Now that I'm no longer employed I really don't miss the early morning dog walks in the dark before going to work. Neither do the dogs, mind you!

Hope Mrs Shiney is on the mend. Have fun shopping Shiney - what's for dinner?

Sorry you didn't get the house you wanted Moyra, fingers crossed there's a better one coming up soon.

Hope you get some time in the garden Lolimac. We started off with drizzle this morning but it's brightening up nicely now so, if it's not too soggy, might get some work done in the garden myself.

Have a fun day, whatever you're up to.

                      Morning everyone,

Its another cold and frosty morning here, around -35 but no snow since yesterday and the wind has moved on.

I'm off around 8:30 to drop some parts off across town, then i have a hair appointment at 9, manicure at 10:30, then off to Toronto since i didn't get there yesterday.

Kait is home later today, and we are packing up her boyfriend Chris's apartment, and putting all his furniture into a trailer we borrowed from a friend, hooking up to it tomorrow morning, and moving all his stuff down to the new apartment we rented for Kait, plus moving all her stuff out of the house she's currently living in now when we get there. Kind of sucks that we are paying for 2 houses for her at the moment, but at least after this she'll be on her own with Chris and away from that CREEPY landlord she has now..........so it'll be a long day for us.

Off to throw some clothes into the dryer, and then get ready to get moving........so enjoy your day everyone

                      Aloha everyone,

                      Happy new month. :blue thumb:

It's March, so Spring is here, almost :)

I'm working hard on a PowerPoint presentation I'm doing for a talk. Then I've got the hardest thing to do, which is timing it, as I have exactly one hour allocated. It's quite a long time to try and get it right. But the talk isn't until next year! :hate-shocked: :heehee:

The rain seems to have stopped and it's very misty out there, but they've forecast sunshine

                      Have a great day

                      Aloha!
