        Aloha everyone,

        Michael removed the broken fence posts and replaced them with concrete ones. He, with his father, replaced the 4" diameter wooden posts that were holding up the wires for the rambling roses and the Freemontodendron tree. The posts were OK but they had been pushed forward by the weight of the plants - especially the tree. I had, originally, hammered them in with a sledge hammer but he has now used a mechanical post driver. It's good when you have the right tools!
        He, also, had time to do some digging and compost shifting.

        We were out when he finished but I'll pay him next Wednesday when he's coming to do some gardening.

        The little celebration went well, at the bridge club. Although we still played bridge we had a nice break to eat all the cakes that some of the members made. Very yummy! There were 80 of us and a great atmosphere. We only put one candle on the cake as she might have collapsed if she had to blow out 96 candles! :heehee:

        I'm gradually working my way through getting the veg patch cleared of nasties - lots of buttercups, strawberry weed, couch grass, dandelions, bindweed and thistles.

        I'm going to continue to doing my travel threads and have put up a thread to link them all in order to make it easy for everyone. They only need to go to that thread to pick which part of the world to look at. :blue thumb: Only a few links up so far but I reckon I'll, eventually, have about 40 or more.

          Well the dentist has left one 'leg' of that large molar behind right next to another tooth that needs to come out. So hopefully he will be able to remove it next Monday along with the other two teeth the other side of my mouth. Then all I have to do is wait for my gums to settle. Then I can have my dentures made.                             It's a bit heavy going to start with as I've been putting down some info. It gets better :)

                            I'm off out shopping soon, need to go to the library, try and get a haircut and Mrs S wants me to take her to a small nursery that someone has recommended. It's about 15 miles away.

                            Then, if the weather is OK I want to get going on repairing some lawn edging that has been damaged by all the rain. That's a couple of full day's work.

                              Its cold here this morning but its supposed to warm up as the day goes on [​IMG].....going to be gorgeous tomorrow....thankfully....oh and some rain on the weekend too!!

                              I'm off to Toronto again soon, Natalie and Daniel are going to come with me, have go downtown Toronto as well, but he's such a good traveller. They came with me the other day down there and as along as he has his mirror on the back of the seat to watch himself....he's good [​IMG]
