    Morning all

We've got a misty start here too Lykewakewalker but it promises to be a scorcher this afternoon.

Hope the eye appt goes well Moyra and there's not too much hanging around.

Good to see you're starting to get your bounce back a bit Woo.

Got someone coming to lay some slabs this morning so best get a move on and get the dogs walked.

Hope it's a lovely sunny day for everyone.

      Aloha everyone,

The sun's trying to come through the mist.

Zigs, good to hear you're improving. If you weren't veggie a good dose of old fashioned chicken soup would have helped, instead of penicillin. :blue thumb:

Woo, good to see you bouncing around :)

Moyra, good luck with the appointment. :grphg:

Greetings to one and all, I'm just off out into the garden.

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Morning all, hope you are well.

This work lark gets in the way of gardening, still lets hope any rain has cleared by knocking off time.

      Have a great day.

        Morning Gdnam, what's work?:)
        Good morning to you all.
It looks as though I really upset the god of gardening yesterday by threatening to wear shorts for three consecutive days, a grey day yesterday and grey and misty today.
Ah well, still plenty to do, have a good and productive day.

          Aloha everyone,

Yesterday was our hottest day to date - 73.8F. It felt a lot hotter in the sun because it was quite humid. This morning we've had a few hours of light drizzle, only the second wet day in six weeks.

Our hot chilli plants are doing very well and all of them have flowers and some baby chillies forming. Hopefully they'll go well at the plant sale.

We got a lot more work done in the garden but I really do need to take it easy as the aches are now becoming a nuisance - and my little finger keeps locking into a curled position. Massage sorts it out but I reckon it's because of tightly gripping some of the gardening tools.

I hope everyone is feeling better and that you all have a great day

          Aloha!

          Good morning everyone,

          Well wishes to everyone:dbgrtmb:

Expecting some rain today and it certainly looks like it,I wonder if it will wait until I've watered the plants:doh:....

Having a baking session today,I've had Bacon and egg pie on my mind for days:rolleyespink:
The chooks have been chasing the dogs around the garden but Theo will antagonise them:nonofinger:
Speaking of birds, tea time yesterday I noticed a huge crow landing on the garage roof it then flew down onto the lawn...the chooks were eyeing it up but the next thing it flew into the ivy and came out with a Blackbirds egg:gaah:...there are so many birds nesting in the garden this year, there's at least 3 Blacky nests on the side of the garage and now the crow knows about them :doh:no sooner had he flown away back he came, this time into the conifer raiding the stoggies nest...I did my "clear off ,arm flapping" dance and a few choice words but it just looked at me like I was mad:rolleyespink:...I can't keep that up:phew:....it's such a shame after all the work they do:sad: but that's nature for you....

Take it easy everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

Hello everyone, raining heavily here, quite pleased because it is washing all the fertilizer into the lawn and the roses. Steve did water all the lawn areas yesterday twice so it should soak in today.

Hope everyone is ok my eye examination went ok they say its satisfactory keep putting the drops in so I will have a visual field eye test in October until then my eyes are ok for driving.

So whether I keep my car beyond that my license runs out in February next year when I shall be a septertarian is that the right word? God knows I am not sure I do? Too old for how I feel I know that much apart from my legs and joints. Have been out and chop the roses down a bit having fed them so hope they will bless me again this year they certainly were good last year but the soil they are in is poor. As I said I have fed them horse manure pellets so hopefully they will reward me again this year with lots of colour.

Have a lovely day, and take care, God bless everyone. Moyra. :wub2:

You're still a young lady :). Don't let the numbers bother you :heehee:

You can renew your licence on-line within 90 days of expiry (will need a Government Gateway ID - easy enough to get).

            Hi Moyra
I feel for you with the eye examination, do they dilate your pupils? I have glaucoma in both eyes (under control now) but I had to have a lens replacement operation about 12 years ago.
One thing about the old eyes, the hospital do keep a good check on you, I go every six months for a check up and to have my fields and pressures done and in the meantime put drops in one eye morning and night and some other drops in both eyes every night.

            Morning all

Was a gorgeous sunny morning which has now turned to rain. Had got lots planted out earlier so that saves me watering them in.

Bet that's a relief, Moyra, that you can carry on driving. Pleased your eye test was satisfactory.

What are the chances of you taking it easy, Shiney? Slim to none if the last few weeks are anything to go by. Listen to your body and rest up a bit.

Send a slice of that pie down my way Loli - I love bacon and egg pie. I'll cook a few chips to have with it

Wishing everyone a great day, whatever you're doing

I took it easy this morning. Planted 300 runner beans in trays (that used about 40 litres of compost), spent ages trying to make room in the greenhouse for them (took Sarafi's area) and we're just off to the pub for lunch.

Paperwork this afternoon and a bridge match tonight. I've been pulled into another team as a 'ringer' as they need to win this match :heehee:. Fortunately, it's only over at Chelmsford (about 16 miles each way).

Good afternoon Ihope you are all OK, have a breeze block wall to build but inclement weather has made this project not viable to day :heehee: so I have been in the greenhouse transplanting some Indigo Rose Tomatoes;)

LWW I have glaucoma in both eyes, they did laser them both last year to try to relieve the pressure but to no avail so now I am on drops in both eyes. My mother actually lost her sight from glaucoma at a lot younger age than I am and was completely blind when she died.

Oh WOO, I am not sure I could eat those that colour, do not fancy them at all.
