Shiney,What a treat seeing the Blue Tits up closeOutside the Railway there was an ashtray fixed to the wall right next to the tables,it had a notice on it 'Out of order' inside you could hear the Blue Tit chicks chirping away,it was marvellous to watch Mum and Dad in and out feeding them,even though you had to duck at times as they whizzed passed,I sat with my camera poised for ages but still didn't manage to get a shot of them,they were too quick for me

Well I had the eye test yesterday,the specs I have now are for reading but I have been wearing them more and more over time ,you should have seen the opticians face when she said "have you been wearing them for driving?" ...she said if the police had stopped me and gave me a test i'd have failed the legal sight limit.... so I get my new specs at the weekend,I knew my eyes weren't as they should be but didn't realise they were that bad until she did her magic trying different lenses ...I've opted for varifocals which I understand can take a bit of getting used to plus a pair for driving...at least the roads will be safer now...

I was told yesterday that my interview for the Luton job will be on Friday, keeping my fingers crossed (and everything else) as, although I have enjoyed my time with the agency, nothing is better than the security of a permanent contract. (I am 1 of only 2 that are being interviewed!)

Yes, they are: this marks the end of their first year. I'm feeling greedy about their time, but, only because - being realistic - at some point from now they are going to fall in love and I will be the very last person in the world they will *want* to spend time with (and I would hate to be a "duty call")!
Son isn't home yet and probably won't be before I go to bed. Likewise, I doubt he will want to be up at 5am to see me off to work either So, I'm likely to have to wait another 24hours before I get to catch up with him properly. Something to look forward to

How wonderful that your son got to spend some time with his Grandad - well for all of you, actually!

There's lots of squeaking going on in the garden this morning as I walked round,looks like fledging time is in full swing Why do they decide to leave their cozy nests when it's raining...A baby Blackie was following Theo around so he just stood and stared at it nose to beak but when the baby started flapping his wings with his beak wide open expecting to be fed Theo was off like a shot

Another work-a-day..so a cuppa is in order then I'll be off
