Loli, I think you need to get the oiley rag out again for all our men folk on here. I seem to be much better, still got a cough that comes and goes. It is so cold out there. Have walked Amber three times and am going to try to get my mobility scooter out again if it is cold and dry. Amber is desperately in need of a long walk and my legs will just not do it. I think I am going to order a new metallic ramp to get the scooter in and out of the house and down the kerb outside as well. All a problem. They offer aluminium ones at about £100 lot of money but if I am to use the machine then I shall have to provide. Previously I was using a plyboard ramp but of course it has got very damp over the winter.

Hope everyone is feeling well, please keep warm, safe and dry. God bless all. I shall be pulling the plug soon so will say Goodnight all.
    God bless. goodnight-duckling-ag1.gif

      125267-Morning-Happy-Tuesday.jpg Good morning all,

WOO, yes someone kindly left us some of that white stuff overnight too. I shall have to take things rather steady when I take Amber out in a minute. Not looking forward to it.

Loli, hope your menfolk are feeling better.

Have a good day all, take care, stay safe, warm and dry and above all keep well.
      God Bless.

        Good morning everyone,

Well although Mr Loli and his brother seem to be over the worst they still look shocking, they really take some shifting these bugs:rolleyespink:...

Some snow here too but feels like it's starting to freeze:doh:

        P1060462.JPG

Do I sit and look at how nice it looks or do I get out there with a brush and get it off my Buxus:rolleyespink:..My 'newly' planted parterre looks like it's taken a bit of a beating considering it's only got a bit of snow on it:doh:...

Mum has a doctors appointment today so that'll be fun whizzing around in this stuff.

Keep wrapped up folks and take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,

Quite white here as well, but it looks lovely. :blue thumb: The bare branches of the trees are covered in snow and it looks a bit like fairyland.

I seem to be getting more and more trouble posting on here  (Taking longer to post, losing posts etc.). That's why I haven't continued with Shiney's Travels - it's too much work to take the chance of losing it, or not being able to post it ('Error posting, try again later' messages!)
Which is a pity as this time of year is perfect for doing it.

Moyra, take care out there. :grphg:

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

Hi Woo, can't your local surgery do the blood taking? Mrs Shiney has her tests done at the surgery and they get them sent to the hospital with all their other stuff they send.

I arranged it with the surgery because of technical problems with our holiday insurance!

I'm sure that if they can do it for that, you should be able to persuade the surgery that your wife and daughter aren't up to the hanging around for hours. One of the practice nurses takes the blood.

Hi Shiney my friend I explained the circumstances to them and they said that the the nurse would do it at 9.30am for my daughter and 10.30am for Mrs Woo,I then put my Shiney head on and politely suggested that the nurse could do both of their blood tests as Mrs Woo will be in there with our daughter, which to me makes more sense all round, but they said it doesn't work like that,so at the moment we will have to wait only less than an hour which is a result,But I shall have a quiet word with the nurse when we are in there, thank you for all your help ,must go now .don't want to be late and upset the nurse;)

Woo, for another time, ask at the surgery whether your doctor might sign an exemption card for them. It's just a small card that says it's OK for the surgery to do the blood tests. You hang onto it just in case you come up against a jobsworth at the surgery.
