    Good luck, Loli. :)

I shan't be around much today as I've had a relapse of the lurgy and am having difficulty controlling my fingers. Too shaky!! Head feeling a lot less woozy. :blue thumb:

      Morning all

Chucking it down here. For once I'm glad as it means Honey doesn't want to go out and run around the garden as she's on restricted exercise for 10 days following her spay. Going to be a long 10 days

Sorry you're having a lurgy relapse, Shiney. Take it easy and get well soon

Fingers crossed the new girls settle in well with the resident chooks Loli

Take care everyone and have a good day

        Good morning everyone,

Shiney, hope you're feeling better this morning:dbgrtmb: This lurgy is a weird one.Just when you think it's on the wain back it comes:rolleyespink:...

I wasn't functioning very well yesterday as the lurgy made a come back:rolleyespink: didn't bode well for introducing new chooks:doh:...The usual kerfuffle catching them to put them in the carriers ,had to move quickly which was an effort:phew:...I was surprised to see how they were 'housed' but that's another story:mad:...Lovely big healthy 'girls' though...I say 'girls' because once home and on closer inspection one looks awfully like a young Rooster to me:doh:....I really hope I'm wrong:fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:. The chap did say they were Hens but from other things he'd previously mentioned I'm inclined to think he may have been telling stories:whistle:....We'll find out soon enough when it gets light:rolleyespink: Poor Mabel, although she has always been a bit of a battle axe got a good hiding from one of the new girls.I know your supposed to leave them to it but I can't stand by and watch it:rolleyespink: so I was playing referee all day.

They'll have to get on with it today as I'm at work but my Dad is coming to keep an eye on them:thumbsup:

        Wishing everyone well,

Go careful out there it's an icy one, take care:SUNsmile:

        Good morning everyone,

Shiney, hope you are feeling a bit better this morning, it does come and go. I am feeling a little better this morning.

Loli, I do hope the girls are feeling more sociable to each other this morning and that you haven't got a cockerel in there! I also hope you are feeling a bit better this morning too.

WOO, hope you are on the mend too, I do feel for you with your problems.

Eve, hope Honey is recovering well from her op, but taking it gently. I had difficulty in keeping Amber quiet when she was done, not easy when they are young. I also hope your shoulder and arm are feeling a bit better.

Have a good day all, stay safe, warm and dry and do get well and stay well everyone.
        God bless. :wub2:

The lul before the storm here, got a few hours to finish the fence to protect the greenhouse before the 75mph winds come :yikes:

Have good day everyone and don't forget your snow shovel "snow dig"

Zigs, I hope you accomplish all you have to do to protect the greenhouse. My plastic covered one has fallen foul of the high winds but it has outlived it's time span and I have a new cover for the spring. Nothing in there to spoil thankfully.

                  Morning all

Stormy weather here, interspersed with sunny spells. Weird weather we're having

Honey is recovering well, thanks Moyra. Was still a bit quietish yesterday but today she is definitely feeling brighter . Not happy at just a quick on lead walk so it's not going to be easy keeping her amused without too much exercise over the next few days.

Hope the chooks accept each other a bit better today Loli. Looking forward to hearing their story

Good luck getting your fence up Zigs

Continuing 'get better soon' thoughts to all who feel poorly

                  Have a good day

Been out in the wind all day, well and truly blustered now :thud:

Had to make the decision to move the car up against the caravan.

With the rain that's forecast there's a good chance it'll be stuck in the mud, but I reckoned thats better than the van going over.

I hope everyone has had a comfortable night:dbgrtmb:

                          Shiney...Shall we have a coughing competition:sick0026:...Hope you have a better day today:thumbsup:

Moyra...Hope you're feeling better now, don't go setting yourself back when out with Amber,it's 'orrible out there:thumbsup:

Woo...Don't even think about flying around today, hope you're on the mend:thumbsup:

Eve...Pleased Honey is getting over her OP:doggieshmooze:...it's difficult keeping them down isn't it but at least she must be feeling fine. You go steady with that shoulder too:thumbsup:

AB...Hope the Wind hasn't caused any havvock up there :fingers crossed:.It's been rattling round here most of the night:rolleyespink: When I first got up I was relieved that it had passed through but it sounds like it's revving up again now:doh:

                          Zig...Hope the wind hasn't kept you awake:thumbsup:

Poor old Mabel :chicken: she's been top chook for a while but Rose has other ideas:paladin:....she's standing her ground though and keeps going back for more even though after they keep having their 'arguments' Mabel has to have a sit down for half an hour:phew:...the other chooks are still a bit nervous and stay close to the run, even when a stoggie or Blackbird fly over they duck and run which makes me think they're not used to free ranging.Thankfully after all the squabbling they have been going to bed without a peep,so we're getting there:thumbsup:

Keep cozy everyone and stay warm.Take care:SUNsmile:
