      Aloha Woo and everyone,

It was very hot yesterday whilst working in the garden. Even the pheasants were snoozing under the shrubs.

We got a reasonable amount of gardening done but the ground is difficult to work as it's so dry. Still sprinkler moving. :rolleyespink: :heehee: It's lovely to watch the birds playing under the sprinkler. The ones that spend most time doing that are the blackbirds and the robins.

Loli, I'm not sure it's a good time to move the aruncus unless the soil is fairly wet. Otherwise you may disturb the roots too much. How long has it been in the ground as I can't remember which year you bought it?

Leg is playing up a bit and a little bit of bleeding. I think it's only because the dressing may have stuck and pulled so Mrs Shiney will check it after I've soaked it off in the shower. The area around the wound is a lot less tender :blue thumb: but not quite enough for me to dance the hornpipe! :heehee:

Busy medical day today as I'm seeing the Chiropodist and the chiropractor. :)

Keep well and have a great day.

      Aloha!

        Morning early people :)

Feeling a bit rough this morning after a reaction to meds yesterday

Pity to waste such a lovely day, but I had to go back to bed :snooze:

Looks like it'll be a nice day today, hazy sunshine.

Have a good day everyone :)

          Good morning everyone.

Shiney sorry you are struggling with your leg. Hope you manage to achieve all you want to. Time is pushing on.

Zigs, poor you, know what you mean about effects from medication. Hope you feel better soon.

Lovely morning here though not so warm. Apparently going to be cooler over the weekend. What happened to the three months heat wave?
Have a good day all, God bless.:wub2: 101145d2j3abfqsr.gif

            Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is on form and heading in the right direction:blue thumb:

Shiney...The Aruncus I got from Shineyland last year,I'm glad I didn't move it yesterday now, it is quite dry .I'l leave it till back end if that's best:blue thumb:

            Zigs...take it easy today:blue thumb:

Moyra...The heatwave hasn't happened here ...yet...again after a sunny start it's clouded over again but quite pleasant:blue thumb:

Instead of getting on I've been sat watching the birds ,the Blackbirds are playing tug of war with some lovely big worms and there's a pair of Great Tits stocking up on dog hair and tumble dryer fluff that I put out for them. They're mavellous to watch..small things eh...:dbgrtmb:

This won't buy the baby a bonnet will it:rolleyespink:

Waves to all, take it easy and take care:SUNsmile:

                  Aloha everyone,

Loli, just keep the aruncus watered and it should do well. It probably isn't showing much yet but you'll be amazed at how fast it can grow. It can be 5ft tall by June. :blue thumb:

It felt a bit nippy when I was out there this morning but it's very pleasant. The areas that I've had the sprinkler on are looking quite happy now after having looked rather sad. I've put it on a bed by the driveway so that it will be done by the time people turn up this morning. We don't want them soaked!

I got more done yesterday but the ground is looking in a bad way. I also finished fixing the trellis properly - with Sarafi supervising. :)

Wound slowly improving but I've now had a small outbreak of my problem under my foot that I had last year. Hopefully it will dry up and go away.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                    Good morning everyone,

Shiney, oh no you don't want that foot of yours starting off again. Best be careful with it.
Loli, pushing it a bit late to start transplanting now really. Unless you keep it well watered.
Zigs hope you are feeling better this morning.
WOO, hope you are keeping ok and not overdoing things.
Take care everyone and have a good day, God bless. :wub2:

Good afternoon my forum friends, I hope you are all well & have the beautiful sunshine which I can see out of the window from work :rolleyespink:.
I'm a bit behind on the forum, yesterday I had to take Little B back to the vets, she laid a horrid soft egg which contained a lot of blood  It really worried me, the vet checked her & gave me some antibiotics for her, but unfortunately she died shortly after we got home :cry3:I was absolutely beside myself, this morning we buried her in the garden in the spot she liked to sit infront of the conifer hedge. She was an ex battery hen & had 23 months in my garden free ranging & generally being spoilt! She had 13 months in the cage prior. I'm thankful she had such a long time with me, it's never long enough but 23 months for an ex batt is good :dbgrtmb:. The garden is so quiet without her, I only have three hens now, I think it's time to get some more! :chicken::chicken::chicken:!
I will catch up with you all later on.
Enjoy your day & happy gardening! :spinning:

@Beckie76 ...Awww that is sad news about little B:sad::grphg:...You did everything you could but sometimes these things are out of our hands.I was only wondering how she was getting on this morning too.

I'm not sure if you have foxes that visit your garden but I would respectfully suggest (you may have already done so) is pop a paver or something on her grave ,foxes have a keen scent for these things. I do it with my chooks but have to go OTT:rolleyespink:...

@Lolimac thank you for your kind reply. I love the paving slab idea, that's a really nice thing to do. My hubby also says soon we won't have anywhere to bury them but I can't help it I love having them & I can't give them up! The good happy times far outway the sad times in my honest opinion.
