This afternoon the decorations will be taken down and carefully packed away for next year. I'll be packing the scented candles alongside the decorations with the hope that when the boxes are opened next year they will smell of "Christmas" from the start

What a terrible day it has been, Have walked Amber three times and got soaked each time. I hope everyone else has survived this awful weather, mustn't complain things are so much worse elsewhere. Have a good evening.

Back to work today , I've had such a lovely time being off for most of the Christmas period that I'm feeling very reluctant to go back to work! This is of course no good & I must get my rear in gear! I'm sure once I get going I shall be fine

I took the trees & decorations down yesterday, everything is nearly packed & boxed up.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some dry weather & maybe some winter sun! We had a lot of rain here yesterday.

Did anyone hear the birds singing this morning? It was lovely here, we had a blackbird on the hedge singing his heart out, the hens were of course joining in!

The birds have barely taken a break this season. Normally they all go very quiet throughout December and it's a sign of better weather when I hear them come February time. I hope they don't decide to breed early because of the mild weather, just in case it turns rather bitter before too long.

Morning all. Getting up for the school run was a bit of a shock to the system yesterday but I'm back on form today I hope. Operation get my dad out of hospital starts today. I have given them six weeks to sort themselves and him out. Have a great day everyone
