    Evening later people :)

Got the job done and dusted in 3 days between the 2 of us :phew:

We were on a deadline as tenants are moving in on Friday.

Will be around a bit more over next few days :)

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

It's cool and cloudy here this morning with a cold easterly wind off the north sea, so I've finally given in to Mrs Trunky's frequent 'reminders' and switched on the central heating. :mute:

Will have to keep busy at work today to stay warm. Hope you all have a good day.

          Aloha everyone,

The sun is a little bit late in waking up this morning but I'm sure it will make an appearance soon and we'll have a nice day.

I had a problem with my car yesterday. When I arrived home from my lunch (a good one made better by the other person paying :heehee:) there was a horrible noise under the car as I was driving in the driveway :yikes:. When I got out to look there was a load of material under the car.

It turned out to be the lining of the front wheel arch and, apparently, a piece of it must have come loose, touched the wheel and then got caught underneath as I drove along the driveway. It ripped the whole of the wheel arch lining out and it was torn and ripped in two. I took it down the road to my friendly local garage (in the Maltings by the station for those of you that know the area) and asked him if it was safe to drive. He said it was but I'm lucky it's not raining as it protects the car from all the rubbish being thrown up into the car. He has ordered a new part and hopes to have it by Monday. In the meantime he has told me not to drive the car on motorways if it's raining. So I've put in an order for no rain for a week. :dbgrtmb:

Whilst he was looking under the car he gave me the good news that I need two new tyres . So I went next door to the tyre place for him to order new tyres for me and they should be delivered this morning. We get excellent service from both places as they are individually owned. The garage has been servicing our cars since he opened over 30 years ago and similarly with the tyre place when it opened 40 years ago. The tyre place is now run by the son of the original owner.

          An expensive day

But my bouncability is still there :)

I shall feel lighter by this afternoon. Not only in the pocket but also because I'm going for a long overdue haircut. I always have my hair cut on a Thursday and the last few Thursday I've had funerals to go to.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

            Morning early people :)

Good start to a day off, made a couple of quid already and will have $10 more in a bit :)

Bright but cooler here today, thinking about a fish :fishing:

Have a good day everyone :)

                Good morning fellow WW'ers

Still no sign of the sun this morning, but I'm optimistic it will make an appearance today.

@Trunky - I've been pondering putting the heating on too, but resorted to an extra jumper instead :heehee:

@shiney - car troubles can be so costly! But, having someone you know and trust deal with it is far more important; have they passed their probationary period yet then? :heehee:

@Zigs - well done on completing the work before time; make sure you get a good reference!

@wiseowl - good morning to you too and wishing you a day with miles of smiles.

@moyra - hope there has been some improvement in your cold :grphg:

#1 Son got the call back yesterday from his interview the day before and has been asked to come back over the weekend for a couple of hours "on the job". Hopefully this means he'll be told whether they will be taking him on or not :fingers crossed:

Finished adding the final touches to the Autumnal Door Wreath yesterday. When I first put it up I wasn't quite happy with it but yesterday I rediscovered some bits and bobs I had stashed away which just seemed perfect for the wreath. I'll stop fiddling with it now :heehee:

I've got accounts to do today which I don't mind doing ... just so long as the figures add up and there are no unexpected shortfalls :fingers crossed:

                Smiles and vibes xxMxx

                        Good morning,

I'm not getting on here enough at the moment...but that doesn't mean I don't think about you all lots.

Work has been busy this week, I've also been to see the asthma nurse a couple of times....I think I was managing my asthma reasonably well until they changed my meds :rolleyespink: I shall give the new meds another week but if there's still no improvement I will put myself back on the previous inhaler!.

I'm delighted to tell you that Veronica & Buttercup have got over their broody period :hapydancsmil:, they are both very skinny, they are eating like there's no tomorrow! :dbgrtmb:

So far I have resisted the temptation to switch the heating on, I'm not sure how much longer that will be the case! We have been lighting the fire in the evenings just to take the chill off (I've been drying the washing I front of it too! :blue thumb:)

I hope you are all well, take care & stay warm :grphg: xx
