    :hapydancsmil::merry christmas: :hapydancsmil:

@Trunky :roflol: :cat-kittyandsmiley: (oops, sorry, that sounded so unsympathetic ... :think3: .... :santa hug:hope your toe heals speedily) Enjoy your day at eldest daughters, I bet she pulls it all off without any hitches  :fingers crossed:

@moyra hope you are warmed up again now :santa hug:

Christmas hasn't begun here quite yet  Mr "M" is on nights (which we knew) and expected him this morning at the appropriate time; unfortunately, the person scheduled to take over from him arrived over an hour late! :waggy:  He's back at work again tonight so that hour delay really does make a difference to the time we have, as a family, to "enjoy" the day's events. On a positive note though, we are all here together for the first time in a couple of years so ... ... we're going to have a bit of a giggle anyway (when everyone is awake, at least :heehee: )

In the meantime: the oven is on, the house is being gently fragranced with the meal to come; the stockings are stuffed; the furbabies stockings have appropriate goodies in them; I'm ready for anyone who calls in (food/drink/some "spares" that Santa left just in case). I've just got one more trick up my sleeve to execute before the house really starts buzzing ;) :heehee:

Wishing you all peace, health and contentment xxMxx

        Morning Christmas people :chrissy grin:

I had a simliar thing @Trunky, must have moved my foot in my sleep and the cat thought it was a target. I'm allergic to cats, didn't half swell up

Suns out here, currently getting 1.2 amps :santa clap:

All ready to cook lunch on a one ring gas stove :hate-shocked: Got a plan for it though :phew:

Have a lovely Christmas everyone and enjoy the Christmas spirit :Wino::dancing:

Merry Christmas! We had our dinner last night. A good family time was enjoyed by all. Still got a little bit of clean up to do and then off to visit my friend in the home and watch Handel's Messiah.

Have a safe and wonderful day everyone :)

I've just given Mrs Shiney her Christmas haircut. :dbgrtmb:

As it's quite mild out I did it in the garden with Sarafi watching and the birds tweeting away on the bird feeder.

Just going to have a hot cuppa :coffee:

                    Aloha everyone,

It's going to be a lovely day today  but I'm quite a bit under the weather  I have a tendency to chest infections and have certainly been hit by one! I have all the usual symptoms, cold, coughing, sore throat, aching limbs and even struggling to type. My head is still working OK - well, as much as it ever is :heehee:

It's my sister's birthday tomorrow and she has all the family coming round (four generations down to he great grand daughter). I'm doing a lot of the cooking for it as some of them are veggies, vegan and coeliac. She's not particularly good at cooking anything that isn't for 'normal' :snork: eaters.

Everything I'm cooking can be done in advance so I have all day to do it. I may have to get my sous chef to prep things if my legs get too wobbly :blue thumb:. My in-house medic is trying to get me in fit condition to go tomorrow - but I'll see how it goes.

Keep well and have a great day

                    Aloha!

Morning all, hope everyone is well and feeling fit and raring to go today.

@shiney Hope the chest infection clears up and you soon feel better, look after yourself.

...and indeed she did @"M"! A great time was had by all, the food was superb, everyone behaved themselves and we all agreed it had been a roaring success. :)

Daughters and myself are off on our traditional Boxing Day walk this morning. I take them round some of my childhood haunts, we pay a 'visit' to my folks in the village churchyard and just enjoy the simple pleasures of being out in the fresh air in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.

                      Have a good day everyone.

Good Boxing Day Evening fellow WW'ers :santa wave:

It was back to the workplace for #1 son today; he survived his 9 day stint rather well and thoroughly enjoyed his 2 days off before heading out again today. He'll get his first wage packet at the end of this week ( ) and it should put everything into perspective  Mind you, I think he's already spent it  he's talking of going to visit friends back in Lincoln over night for New Years Eve; I think train fares are rather heavy at that time? Ah well, you're only young once :heehee:

Had a wonderful afternoon yesterday. Finally got down to the "Santa" stuff after 2pm, once everyone was awake and gathered. Even Ozzy came rushing into the sitting room all excited :doggieshmooze: (good job Santa Paws remembered him!). Managed to achieve/pull off everything I had planned for/worked on so I was very satisfied by the time Mr "M" had to head off for another night shift. Then I was able to flop down on the sofa with a glass of Christmas spirit and watch a bit of TV :heehee:

Oh no!!! :cmonhug: Healing vibes winging their way to you.

Clever girl for pulling it all off!! :santa clap: Same time, same place, next year, Trunky? :heehee:

Smiles and vibes for all xxMxx :reindeer:

                              Aloha everyone,

Shiney is very poorly at the moment and shan't be able to go to sister's family birthday get together - but I've managed to do most of the cooking for it. :dbgrtmb: I won't go into the gory details but have a bad chest infection, occasional fever and aching all over.

                              But not this:-

That takes me back to 1959/60 :)

Keep well and have a great day
