    Aloha everyone,

    @wiseowl
Alternatively, I'll ask Mrs Shiney if she can advise you :)

@liliana are you able to borrow a dehumidifier from someone? That should help your conservatory problem. Good luck with changing things.

It was a big gardening day yesterday although it doesn't sound like a lot of work. It was 'clear the ShineyFrames for the winter', day :phew:. So I started off with picking the last of the beans - 3lb :blue thumb:. Then I had to go for my regular treatment on my back. :rolleyespink:

Taking apart the frames doesn't include the main posts and wires but needs to have things done in the right order. First, naturally, the plants need to be cut at ground level but there's too much for me to do that. So Mrs Shiney did that for me. :wub2: Then it's two hours of cutting the strings that hold the canes together and that make the woven roof over the area. After that it's the hard job of pulling out the canes and trying to get the plants disentangled from them. That is followed by carrying the 200 plants to the bonfire and clearing all the plant debris that is left :phew:

Then comes the easy bit :snork:. Rolling back the anti-weed membrane, digging all the area, adding 1.5 tons of horse manure and digging it in. I had Michael to do all that bit whilst I made the tea and then stood and watched. :dbgrtmb: :heehee: Including going to get the manure the whole job took 7 hours - but it looks fantastic :hapydancsmil:.

Once the digging and manuring started we stopped regularly for cups of tea and to let the eight robins, that were waiting patiently, have a feast. We only usually have three pairs nesting in the garden so I don't know where the other two live.

As I've typed all this I might as well put it on the 'What have you been doing in the garden...' thread. :snorky:

    Today I'm resting my back.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Thanks. :dbgrtmb:

I have to make the most of it when Michael comes along. This was just one of the ShineyFrame areas. The other is of a similar size - and we got both done :hapydancsmil:

This is Michael, having a cuppa and watching some of the robins.

                Morning all :spinning:

A pair of legs to my right.............oh, it's the window cleaner doing my conservatory.

Busy all ready, filling out a benefits form to see if I qualify for Bereavements benefit.

Bit dismal today, hopefully it brightens up later, I have some Fuchsia's and Geraniums to
pull up, I don't know how long it will be before the frosts come, I don't want to get caught
                out.

Take it easy and keep warm.:imphrt:

The sun is shining brightly this morning but rain forecast tonight. Just the way I like it :dbgrtmb:

I've got some work to do this morning before going off to help and play in a charity bridge drive. That should get me home in time to go to this evening's bridge club. :phew:

                    Good afternoon fellow WW'ers

Now the weather has cooled I've succumbed to putting on the heating so I don't freeze on the spot when I get out of bed. Ok, maybe a slight exaggeration but it does make a difference in the morning :heehee:

:cmonhug: Thank goodness it has been diagnosed so you can do something positive about it :phew: Being utterly selfish, that means we have the pleasure of you for longer :dbgrtmb: :hapydancsmil: Hopefully, Mrs Shy Knee will give you her usual sage advice on how to manage things through this adjustment phase.

Smiles and vibes for all xxMxx

Salmon and broccoli sounds good Woo :)

If you're looking for no added sugar products, try to find the ones with stevia rather than artificial sweeteners :)

                          Aloha everyone,

                          Email went to @wiseowl

I use Stevia and have been using it for years. I've not found any Stevia products in the U.K. that don't also contain artificial sweetener so have been ordering mine from the U.S. This is the one I use.
                          http://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-stevia-extract-4-fl-oz-2

It's in liquid form and comes in a dropper bottle. Ignore the bit that says it's twice as sweet as sugar. I don't know how they can compare a liquid amount to sugar . It comes in a 4oz dropper bottle and I reckon that one drop is roughly equal to half a teaspoon of sugar (need to be very gentle when using the dropper or you'll squeeze too much out of it).

We use one drop in our hot drinks and I use three drops in my porridge. It can be used in cooking/baking but it's always best to try and avoid cakes etc. because the carbohydrates can turn to sugars. e.g. I use it when cooking rhubarb etc. One bottle lasts me about six months but I order at least two (can't remember how many) because of postage costs are cheaper for more.

This Stevia product isn't completely pure stevia extract but is just as good. It contains vegetable glycerine, also slightly sweet, which turns it into a more manageable liquid as it thickens it without changing the flavour. :blue thumb:

You hadn't been badgering it, had you? :heehee:

The sun is trying to come out and play but I don't know whether it will manage it.

Keep well and have a great day

                          Aloha!

I haven't taken sugar in hot drinks since I was around 9 years old and, interestingly, youngest son made the same decision at around the same age. Can't recall why I stopped having it but now I can know if I've been given the wrong mug simply by the smell of a tea/coffee with sugar in it!
 It was never in any doubt :dbgrtmb:

@moyra - how is life in the new kitchen? Now that all the nonsense is over with it must be a lovely environment to work in :blue thumb:
