    Morning early people :)

Day off today, car failed the mot yesterday:doh: They can't do the work on it for 2 weeks and I can hardly fill the curtesy car full of tools

First time customer at that garage so gave the girl in reception my business card for details, pricing a job for her tomorrow :)

She's got an old outbuilding she wants made habitable.
Does that mean i'm covered next time your cat starts headbutting me? :snork:

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

      Gooooooood morning, fellow WW'ers

Gorgeous sunshine outside now so lots to be getting on with today

That is also the date of Mothering Sunday this year: a pessimist might suggest that it means a 1 hour less of a lay in; an optimist might suggest ... a whole extra hour for Mother's to be pampered in :hapydancsmil:
I tried! They both fell asleep before the end of the first paragraph :doggieshmooze: :cat-kittyandsmiley:
I did consider the option of turning up at your door to see Mrs Shiney if either of them became ill. Having weighed up the cost of fuel both ways plus medications ... the insurance works out a tad cheaper :heehee:

:heehee: No, but it does mean Echo is covered should you headbutt him back ;) :heehee:

The menfolk have had their cooked breakfast this morning: scrambled egg, slice of bacon, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and a slice of toast and both are now off to work with full tummies. I don't need to feed them any more today, so I can please myself later (I feel a bowl of dahl coming on :heehee: ).

Speaking of Dahl, I've got book club tonight and I need to finish the last couple of chapters of the book: "Love From Boy". Basically constructed using his letters to his mother. Interesting read, but the thing which surprised me the most about him, was how tall he was!! I know, weird thing to come away with from a book which is witty and informative :heehee:

Smiles and vibes for all xxMxx

PS: @moyra loving todays picture that you posted :cat-kittyandsmiley:

          Good day everyone
I had a productive day outside yesterday. Cleaned up what I didn't get to in the autumn and baked some of the dirt I reclaimed from the pots. It was in the 40f yesterday and extremely windy -gusts at 76 mph. Didn't have to worry about spilled dirt collecting on the deck as it just blew away :)

Installed the last of the led grow lights in my indoor areas this morning and later will hang the led shop lights that I replaced, over the bottom of the cellar steps and one other dark location. I have a prayer plant to repot today and one more hot pepper which is outgrowing his soil block. It's going to be a good day :)

I hope everyone has a safe day :)

            Aloha everyone,

            Good point.

She helped a Labrador the other month that had bad arthritis. Apart from a remedy that she gave to the owner (can't give it to the dog now that she's officially retired, but can still treat humans ) she gave the dog some reflexology and a leg massage. The dog loved it and Mrs Shiney showed the owner how to do it for the dog. Apparently the dog is walking so much better. :)

The new dentist that I saw yesterday turned out to be a very nice person and by the time IU had trained her in what she could and couldn't do inside my mouth we were getting on well. :dbgrtmb:

We also had a discussion about x-rays. She wanted to do some so that she could see more about my teeth and I said no. She said that they amount of radiation it gives is less than you get on a plane flight and I agreed but said that the effect is cumulative so if I don't need it I don't want it. I also asked, if they're harmless, why do they leave the room when giving x-rays? :snork:

I said that if I was having any trouble I would, of course, have the x-rays but otherwise I don't want them. If there was a potential problem, apart from the fact that I would most likely have some pain, the hygienist would pick it up and refer me. I've been seeing hygienists every three months for over 65 years :rolleyespink: :snorky:

This morning is my regular visit to the chiropodist. A nice person who does a good job - and we spend all the time taking the pee out of each other. Then it's bridge all afternoon and evening.

We pay an insurance cash plan that gives us our money back for most standard type medical things that we pay out for. These include the dentist, hygienist, chiropodist, physio, chiropractic, eye tests and new glasses, and a number of other similar things. We've been paying it for over 20 years and they still don't seem to mind that we get more from them than we pay them. :noidea:

Keep well and have a great day.

            Aloha!

                  Good day everyone
It is very cold here today and I have sales appointments to attend which will keep me inside my vehicle or showrooms.

Have a safe Friday everyone. :)

                    Aloha everyone,

We got a lot done in the garden yesterday and, after the warm sunny day the other day, everything seems to be coming into blossom. :dbgrtmb:

Even with a busy day elsewhere I got a lot done outside.

                    Cooking for the students today.
