    Aloha everyone,

Yesterday turned out to be a very nice day. :dbgrtmb:

We had a lovely walk along the river and through the park and footpaths of a small town near us and were home in plenty of time to get things done in the garden before lunch. I repotted some of our chillies, sowed another 80 runner beans and continued to do weeding and cleaning.

I have a lot of paperwork and organising to do today ready for meeting during the week.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

      Good day everyone
I'm looking at clear skies and it has warmed up to 34.8f. I am very glad that I decided to bring in the plants from the unheated greenhouses! Two more nights like this and then the dangerous lows will be finished. :)

Got a little bit of hand sewing left to do to finish off some wage earning work. Money in. I ordered a couple of solar powered water pumps with timers. I'm going to add them to my low flow irrigation system so when rain water is collected it can be used instead of tap water. Money back out. :rolleyespink:

Have a safe and warm day :)

              I'm not :):phew::thud::thud::thud:

              Evening later people :)

Been on the road most of the day, delivering materials for a lath and plaster ceiling job.

Same again tomorrow, stopped off for lunch at Tesco's café in Yeovil, noticed on the receipt, if I give feedback on the service i'll get 10% off tomorrow's lunch

It just says vegiburger and chips on the menu, but its so spicy it makes you sweat and steams your glasses up :yikes: :phew: :)

Stopped off at Cerne Abbas on the way back to see some friends who've taken over the pub there and got a free pint of Dorset Glod Ale :ccheers:

              DSCI0011.JPG

Have a good evening everyone and don't carve anything like that into your lawn :yikes:

                        Aloha everyone,

The wind yesterday was too cold for comfortable gardening so I only did a small amount. The ground is so parched that there is a noticeable difference between the plants in the areas I've watered and those I haven't. Don't tell anyone :nonofinger: but I forgot to turn the sprinkler off last night :dunno: . Only remembered at 5 a.m. :wallbanging: Didn't turn it off but moved it elsewhere. 11 weeks with no rain so far. :rolleyespink:

Keep well and have a great day

                        Aloha!

Good morning all. Still not very warm for May. Must take Amber out in a minute, she must have her legs crossed.
Have a good day, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well, God bless.:wub2:

@shiney @zigs:phew: I've put my whip & boots away.....might get them out again for shineyland :heehee:! I hope my asparagus is pert with all this dry weather I'm worried it might look a bit droopy, I shall soon give that a little rub up & get it looking perky if need be!!!:loll:

Golly it's chilly for May, my heating came on in the night, the thermostat is set on 16 this time of year, I've now set it to 14, I can't be running the heating in may :nonofinger:.

I managed to get to the garden centre yesterday :hapydancsmil:, it was lovely to have a wander round, two bearded iris & a yellow geum fell into my basket  I'm going to get those planted up before I head out this morning :blue thumb:

I have a lot of birds visiting the garden, my bird bath was full of sparrows this morning :blue thumb:. There's a pair of barn owls living at the village church, they are beautiful :blue thumb:, I'm hoping they breed & I catch a glimpse of their young :fingers crossed:

Best I get a move on, enjoy your day everyone :hapydancsmil:

                              Good day everyone
It is up to 33.2f but I should be grateful because even though it has been chilly, we had a load of rain in my area and without flooding.

I've got to get the ladder out and take down my solar panels today and move the deck furniture, wood stove etc so the siding fellows have room to work.

We are only going down to a low of 39f so I will take the plants back out to the unheated greenhouses. In a few days some of them will be planted out as our temperatures are predicted to steadily improve both day and night. :)

Have a safe and warm day everyone.
