      Good day
@Upsydaisy is all of the backlog due to people waiting to have large celebrations of life? Surely delays for interment wouldn't be because of covid?

@moyra I hope you are able to get out and about at least to putter in your garden or along the sidewalk in front of your home.

@shiney that is lucky to find someone to take care of things quickly!

We had a nice bit of rainfall early this morning so all of those nooks and crannies that the sprinkler system can't reach have been watered. And for free :)

I'll continue working on the privacy stuff for the gates and side fence. I found grommets that closely match the ones that are in the material and since I am cutting down the 68" x 50 foot piece, I will need to add lots to get a good tight fit. Had to fudge around with various tools to find a way to properly set them as I don't have that particular sized setter for my press.

I also get to go and order some new glasses. My distance vision is only a .25 correction but I will still get glasses for driving and ones that darken in the sun too. I hope I find really funky frames. Should be fun.

Have a lovely day all and play safe!

Yes there is a back log for interment here Lori, as it a shared plot with my Mum they weren't allowed to open it up and secondly the stone mason/ engraver wasn't available due to their work load. When I went there today to place the flowers on the grave the headstone had been collected so that was a positive sign so fingers crossed it may be sooner that we were initially told.
We were even told last week that if we preferred to lay Dad to rest before the alterations to the headstone were done but didn't want to wait until Sept/ Oct then we could collect him and do it ourselves!! I was happy to do this rather than leaving him on a shelf but the others were uncomfortable with it. It would be pre dug up but we would have to fill it back in.

Good morning all, @CanadianLori , No I am not allowed out generally only perhaps for a ride in my car. Steve keeps me prisoner. lol. He says I am so vulnerable he has to make sure I am safe.
Have a good day all, take care and stay safe and well. God Bless. :wub2:

                Aloha every,

                More bites!

We also have a wasp nest in the eaves just where our decorator is preparing the metal stack pipe for painting. He had to abandon that part of the job for now. I went out and bought ant powder and climbed up there to try and puff the powder around the entrance. It was very difficult as the puffer bottle is only organised to be able to puff downwards. I managed to get a load of it around the hole and the wall near it and ran like mad. :rolleyespink: I didn't use a ladder but stood on a bench (we're in a bungalow) so I could quickly jump off and scarper. Ant powder was the recommended thing to use by our friend who is the bee keeper and has worked well in the past.

You can take a ride to us

Keep safe - and cool

                Aloha!

@moyra wearing a face mask/ covering there is nothing wrong with you going out and about now, just do what we do and pick times and places that are quiet . My sister and brother are vulnerable ( particularly my brother) but the restrictions on their movements has now been officially lifted. For the sake of your wellbeing Steve should be made aware that it is beneficial to you to get out , couldn't he come with you and Amber on a daily walk.....that would reassure him .:dbgrtmb:

A day of sunshine ahead :yahoo: , we have another house to view this morning. Quite like the look of this one but not too sure what my sister or brother would say as it's not in this immediately area , for my sister it would mean 2 buses to get there. As my health stands at the moment I can easily walk there , it's not too far from the area my parents first moved to when they came back down south when I was a tiny tot.

I am not raising my hopes too high as I'm well aware of how the camera can alter how things actually look in real life...my Dad's place being a good example of wide lense imagery!!!!:heehee:

Have a super duper day everyone , keep safe!:spinning:

                    Good day
Yes, @moyra Upsydaisy is correct. With a mask and social distancing, you are pretty safe :)

@Upsydaisy I'll cross my fingers for you. When I take a picture of anything, the pic turns out much worse than the actual subject so maybe you'll get a nice surprise and what you see is what it is!

Granddaughter is staying with me now. The stepmother was being a piece of work and was trying to charge her for everything! It will be months before she is able to even look for a job and this woman is being totally unreasonable. My son may land up splitting with her if this nastiness isn't dropped immediately. The good part is that now she is with me and her appointments are only 5 minutes away, I won't have to drive 50 minutes to pick her up, drive 45 minutes back to bring her to an appointment and and then repeat the drive to get her back to their place. More than three hours of driving. Now it's only 10 minutes both ways. Stepmother does not work so had no excuse not to drive her, from get go, so now we know what her true colours are and disappointed. And she has a lot of appointments including a CT scan and other specialist visits.

Got her laundry going now and then will do a bit of mine. Then we'll coordinate our calendars so I don't forget to be ready for one of her appointments. Her other duties are to sit in the back yard and enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the birds bathe.

I think I'll bake some bread too. In the mood to fill the house will a nice smell.

Have a super day all :)

We viewed a lovely little bungalow this morning in great area . Has been completely refurbished / decorated. All new windows and doors, new bathroom, kitchen, boiler ,cooker with extractor fan, washing machine, fridge and freezer. And what is hubs doing...........dithering....again. We've lost out on property before as he just can't make up his mind. Inside I am screaming buy, buy ,buy. No doubt by the time he gets round to it, it will be gone.
