      :heehee:

Unfortunately, when the music starts I move into the next room (it just happens to be the bar) as I can't take loud music. Even when the entertainers are told to keep the volume down it's too loud for me. I don't have hyperacusis but it's not far off it! I don't get anxious or angry with the noise (part of hyperacusis) but I find it somewhat painful. It doesn't help that I also have tinnitus and loud noise makes it worse. Soft or gentle noise helps mask the tinnitus. :blue thumb:

My hearing just happens to be hypersensitive so I can hear the second hand on my watch moving if there's no other sounds :noidea:. I have my hearing tested every year (appointment next week) and my hearing has become less sensitive in the last couple of years.

Good day everyone, well, okay since no one else is here, good day to me! As I type, the song, "One is the loneliest number" goes through my head :heehee:

The skies are grey but it is mild- hovering around freezing. I've put out the bins and the rubbish. I can't do it the night before because the raccoons would have a get together out there and I'd be scooping up the after party mess from the street this morning.

I'll be transferring the last of the pdf patterns I download and that I want to use this winter, onto plastic. Then pretty much everything will be stowed and I'll be ready to make things spic and span for when my granddaughter arrives early next week.

I hope everyone has a super day and please play safe :)

            Sorry I'm late too.
Despite being grey and damp here I was able to still enjoy spending the whole day in my Dad's garden. Filled to overflowing his two garden waste wheelie bins.

Sadly for my Dad ,Donald Duck hasn't been seen since yesterday morning , so I think he's gone to seek pastures new....leaving my Dad with a sack of Duck food !!

Really aching now that I've stopped, I'm fine as long as I keep going but once stopped..:ouch1:...just going to take a couple of painkillers before I cease up completely.

              Raccoons!
That takes me back. Our eldest had a cuddly soft toy raccoon, from birth it was his favourite toy and had to go everywhere with us.
Once when we went up to London visiting some friends for the day ,during our return journey home and thankfully only about 15 minutes into it we discovered that Ricky Raccoon was no longer with us (he have been at the start) . Being a warm day the widows were open just enough for Ricky ( some how ) to get some fresh air!!!!!
Hubs was not best pleased as we had to drive slowly back through central London with a crying toddler in search of poor Ricky.

Amazingly in all ended well as we found him near our friends place , none the worse for his adventure. We still have it , up in what was ( and still is when he comes on a visit) our son's bedroom.:)

                  Aloha everyone,

I got a lot of pressure hosing done yesterday and shall carry on today. Clearing out gutters leaves muck everywhere :rolleyespink:. It's not as bad as the accumulation of mold and algae but more than a quick hosing down will do.

Our annual dinner and dance went well and the last minute replacement for our entertainer, who fell ill at the last minute, was OK.He was helped to work out the right style of music by one of our guest who always does a free fifteen minute spot (he's a very good professional Elvis impersonator).

Now I can concentrate on our annual charity quiz next Saturday. The bookings are now full and all the organising is sorted out :fingers crossed:. Electronics, two computers, two projectors, all software written, catering organised (we do it ourselves) and a team of volunteers to set the hall up.

At least they haven't forecast any snow. One year it started snowing two hours before the quiz was due to start and within an hour there was a blizzard. Some teams didn't make it and by the time the quiz finished we had nine inches of snow and the road crews hadn't got to our rural area apart from some gritting of the main roads.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                          Morning all :)

                          Oh dear @Flumpy was he a bit:drunk:??

Hope he recovers in time to enjoy the meal, have a great time.

Nothing very evil on the agenda for today , I was going to do another load of laundry but the local forecast says we could be in for some drizzle although the national doesn't.:dunno: . We do have a tumble dryer but I prefer to line dry if possible, so I'll leave it until tomorrow.

I am incredibly achy today as I had to empty out 3 big containers of garden rubbish into the bins. They were stored as the bins had been full and despite the fact that I had taken great care to cover them rain had seeped in during the past fortnight and my oh my were they heavy!!! Actually lifting them up to tip in was agony!! I am certainly suffering now......and not in silence!!!:heehee:

Might eventually have a potter and check out my seedlings....if they have emerged that is!

                          Have a super day everyone.:spinning:

Why don't you switch your phone off at night?

I've already dealt with all my emails, done the dishwashing and emptied the machine, done an hour and a half of pressure washing and am taking an hour's break before carrying on with the pressure washing. There's no rain here and it doesn't look as though we'll get it until tomorrow. I think @wiseowl may have used up all the rain by then :)

I had a friend text me that her daughter had just had her baby...at 3:15. Happy news I know but it could've waited until 6am imo

Trouble is @shiney a lot of people don't have land lines anymore , I think we're the only ones in our group of friends that do. Even the older generation are dropping their lines, my 89yr old Aunt and Uncle rely on theirs.

Our sons don't bother with land line either. So for some it's a necessity to keep theirs on for various reasons.

We're old old school, having both.
