    @Upsydaisy

We make them using wheat. There's always lots of wheat falling off the lorries as they go round the corners. We have about half a cwt of them. We put the wheat in the oven on low to kill off any bugs, sieve and store.

Some microwaves say you mustn't heat wheat or rice bags in them. you need to check.

        Good day,
        Another cloudy day and 16068950657942122829980.jpg

I'm taking Sam for a bandage change and picking up some material to make cushion covers for an upholstery firm that luckily is only about 1 mile from the nurse station.

I've been making lunches weekday mornings for my son Jim to take to work and to help him save a bit and I'm noticing that I seem to be packing more and more as now I can't fold the top of the bag over anymore. Must be winter making me want to stuff him.

Unfortunately I've discovered there are intruders in the cellar so have been setting out traps for them. Caught/killed 3 voles so far. I'd love to figure out where they are getting in as I have inspected as much of the perimeter as possible to find their entry point. I'll get my boots on later and clear a spot on the fence top and put the carcasses on it so as to provide a smorgasbord for my little buddy, the opossum.

I downloaded some more sewing patterns. This time for a spring jacket and a hoodie for my grandddaughters. Lots of things to keep me busy over the winter.

        Cheers all :coffee:

Hi all you all seem busy bees :) Lori I can’t believe how much snow you’ve got, my mum always says “once Canada has had snow then we get it next”, I hope it’s not that thick :yikes: I will be skiing to work.
Well we’ve been told it’s looking more like January when we move into our new house, I can’t wait for spring in our new garden and can’t wait to send you pictures :hapydancsmil:exciting.

Has anyone heard from Moyra today??

@Flumpy I know that the last time we didn't hear from @moyra for a few days was because her computer failed and it had to be repaired. I sure hope that's all it is this time too. :fingers crossed:

And this is our second snow that has stuck around - the last one was not as heavy/deep but fairly close so maybe you'll be lucky and it will take three of our snows before you get one :)

Do you have to put chains on your wheels when it get really bad snow? .

Yes hope Moyra is ok, she had a nasty rash the other day, hope it’s not shingles.

How is Sam doing today? :spinning:

No @Flumpy , I have two sets of wheels for my vehicles. One set with nice rims and all weather tyres is for summer and the cheapie "steely" rims with snow tyres on the other. I switch before November 1st and after April fool. The snows are really good at gripping the road and the cheapie rims they're mounted on take the abuse of the road salt so I don't ruin my good set. ;)

Sam is okay. We went for a bandage change today. :)

            Aloha everyone,

            I hope you are well.

I'm keeping off the computer a bit today as I'm having trouble with my shoulder and elbow (different sides ) probably from over doing the gardening.

            See you tomorrow

            Aloha!

              Good day
The clouds have reduced to large puffs instead of the total blanket we've had over the past few days. It's lovely to see some blue even though it is bitter cold out there. :)

I've got lots of bits and pieces to take care of today. Some work, some chores and some play time.

@shiney, that your shoulder mends. Yes, mousing can cause strain on a sore shoulder for sure!

              Cheers all :coffee:

Good morning everyone. The rash I think is coming to an end, hope I am not saying that too soon! It looks as though it is going to peel the skin.

I have had further problems with my computer. In deleting a lot of programs I never use I accidentally deleted my email and it has taken me two days in getting back no Thanks to Google who wouldn't recognise me because I had forgotten my password.

I hope you are all ok and Sam is coming on ok too. Have a good day everyone, watch out for the snow which is on its way. Take it easy and stay safe and well. God bless. :)

                  Aloha everyone,

@moyra that's good news that you rash is getting better. :blue thumb:

My aches and pains have improved. :)

I've had a busy morning. Been into town shopping, made nearly a gallon of chicken soup and a load of Tandoori chicken wings. Done a lot of admin and now need to work on the outside lights. I have two bridge session this afternoon and evening. Apart from that I'm not doing much :heehee:

                  Keep well

                  Aloha!

                    Good day
@moyra seeing your post made my morning start off on a great note. I'm glad it was your computer and not you that had issues and am glad to hear your rash is clearing... touching wood here too!

@shiney it sounds like you've worked through your aches :blue thumb:

It is still pitch here and it didn't seem too cold when I made the trips to the kerb with this week's recycle bins. And whilst still wearing my jammies. Pity the neighbour who decides to twitch the curtains at that time in the morning.

Sam is still sleeping. Oh to be young and able to lie in! I am still flushing her abdominal drainage tube twice a day and this will probably continue for quite some time. She has to be completely clear inside before they will operate to fix the origin of her problem.

For me, I've got a fairly loose day. Lots of things to do but nothing urgent or important. Lazy, aimless puttering to happen ;)

Have a lovely day all :coffee:
