Marry berry is a British chef usually on tv, in her recipe we use 4 instead of 2 tea bags to make it darker

It’s a Welsh recipe and ours usually come via family in wales, there is probably different version on the web.

Taste nice with butter spread out thickly oops thinly on a slice, we have one with coffee for elevenis in the mornings

I’m spending my time recuperating after a bout of dizziness, I used to have labrynthytus but that was down to medication and have not had it since.

The loss of a loved one or friend is never easy but your prayers will be heard

                  Aloha everyone,

My back and shoulder trouble has eased up a lot after five days of massages by Mrs S. :blue thumb: But my right thumb has gone on strike . The arthritis is so painful this morning that I can't get my wrist support on . I don't use it unless I'm having trouble (not too often) but this morning is worse than usual. It doesn't hurt unless I try to use it. Well, that's my excuse :heehee: so today's work will all be left handed. :)

We're supposed to be away on holiday this weekend for our 55th wedding anniversary. :dunno:

Never mind, we'll get a takeaway. :heehee:

                  Keep well

                  Aloha!

How are you all this morning?
@shiney I was told my arthritis is as bad as it is in my right hand due to holding/ using hairdressing scissors for so many years, my thumb can look quite distorted when the flare up gets particularly bad.
@moyra are you feeling a bit better now.
@CanadianLori, what do you think of @shiney 's flirting skills.....not bad eh!!
@Flumpy are you working today, hope all your plug plants are doing well.
@jimcubs hope your dizziness is easing up.

                      Take care everyone.

                          Good day
I occasionally suffer from "tennis elbow" which is painful but easily brought under control. I'm guess your arthritis @shiney and @Upsydaisy should be called Stylist's Arthritis. Sounds nasty and I hope it eases up soon. I wish I could hand you some of my special fudge. It would help lessen the pain.

Well, I caught the little beggar who snuck into my house between floors and that was between the soffit and the brick wall. A small gap of about 1/2 an inch. I believe it was only the one but will listen for noises later to hear if I am right. The gap will receive a generous amount of caulking later. For obvious reasons I wouldn't seal it up until after the space is cleared.

It's a cloudy day and we got free water overnight but it is much milder than yesterday morning. It is in the 50's. :dbgrtmb:

I have zero work left to do and so I will be a lady of leisure. Puttering, dusting, maybe doing some laundry and just generally being a slouch.

Have a lovely day all :)

@Upsydaisy it was a red squirrel. They are not the same as your pretty little ones. These are also not native to my area and came up from the states. They are nasty little things that bully our squirrels and they work their way into homes to nest rather than build nice little nests up in the tree tops as our domestic squirrels do. Altogether a destructive animal and most unwelcome. This one is now waiting on the top of the back fence for my friend the opossum. Opossums are another non native but benign fellows who cleans up the dead animals and I welcome them and give them the bodies of my invaders.

@jimcubs forgot to mention that I looked up the bara brith recipe and will be making it. I need to go out and buy some currants as I don't have any left. And I need to buy some black tea as I only have flavoured or my most used, orange pekoe. Thanks for the heads up :blue thumb:
