        Good morning all :coffee1:
It’s 13C and sunny with wall to wall blue sky (so far :fingers crossed:) but quite a gusty wind. Hope the conditions improve for your drive @Ladybird4 :)
We’re heading to MILs again today just for one night … back tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll remember to bring the courgette plants back with us this time

          Good morning all.

Have a good journey @Dovefromabove. I'm sure you'll come home with courgettes this time.

Not raining! Storms are forecast for this afternoon.

Hello everyone. We’ve been to town this morning and I’ve I I I we went to town this morning and then spent the rest of the afternoon going through the next week’s tv program with a marker pen. It’s still rather cold. Minus 3c this morning and doesn’t seem to have improved since. They’re still crossing fingers for the high country for snow, but not much to report yet. There was apparently an earth quake 7.5 last night, north of Goulburn. ( not very far from here), but we didn’t feel anything. I’m not complaining.

              Hi all

Late on parade today, didn't get back from Sunderland till 3am., it was a very wet, cold day, but Bruce was fantastic, 3 hours of non stop music, and his voice is still great.

                Morning all.

I had a big sleep after my 13 hour shift yesterday. Not much planned today except buying (or maybe making??) a cake for my lovely work mate who is working her last shift with me tomorrow before she takes a new post.

Have a good day all - food-banking, MIL checking, afternoon-resting, or whatever else.

                  Good morning all,
Well, at least it has stopped raining for now. Yesterday it didn’t stop to think about it, what a deluge we had (but not as bad as the west).
Glad you enjoyed the concert @Punkdoc. My OH is a big fan of The Boss. A shame it was so wet and cold for you, though.
I hope the journey wasn’t too horrible for you this morning @Ladybird4, and that your journey to your MiL is ok, too @Dovefromabove.
Just finished my Pilates class so coffee time now.

                    Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

I hope this post finds you all well.

The last time we had any rain (if memory serves) was Monday last week. Since then we have had 20C and sunshine every day. However this benign state of affairs changed last night with a Northerly gale which is still ongoing today (forecast high for today: 13C!). Strangely there has been no worthwhile rain accompanying it. The gale has, alas, mauled my poppies; although as they self-seeded I can't legitimately be too upset about it. Watering my pots of annuals during a (dry) gale felt a little surreal. :) The aphids have arrived and are attacking my two surviving patio roses. There is no sign of my honoured guest (the ladybird). I'm reluctant to spray any pesticide as I don't want to risk harming the very welcome guest if she returns.

Good news - I've broken the habit of waking up at 4am and being unable to get back to sleep again, now I wake up at 5am instead! :)

I hope you have won the war against the mice, and are winning the war against the slugs @Dovefromabove , and I hope that ear infection is clearing up.

Very beautiful photos @Ergates & also of your orchids @Ladybird4

Pace yourself and be careful with all that very arduous work @lizzie27

Best wishes to all, as always.

Morning all. Thursday. 9AM here. 71 degrees.
Raining off and on, overcast. Electric went out twice between yesterday at about 4PM and sometime on the overnight, thank goodness for our generator.

We are scheduled to get drive down to our Airbnb June 9th for a week, taking stuff. But have been book solid all this time.

Its funny, when I worked full-time outside the house 50 hours a week, during that time cleaning done, meals done, garden work. Now that I have been given back the 50, you'd think all that would be perfect. But, I guess one does continue the normal one had all those years.
                      Have a good day.

Good afternoon, nothing in the traps today, but I checked the 3 bait boxes and one had been used. So hopefully the second one I saw won't be coming back.
Now the sun is out I am taking the winter protection off of the Lemons. They seem reasonably OK, but one does have many leaves, it has masses of flower buds tho, hope it doesn't mean anything bad. As I am sure you know sometimes plants give a last heavy crop before they expire - hope not.

We had a fairly busy time at the Food Bank today and Tesco sent us another huge donation of food - all to be weighed and dated of course. It never stopped raining! On my outward journey I had to navigate around a beautiful laburnum tree - in full flower that had been blown down by the serious winds we had here last night and was stretched across half of the road. It had been removed by the time I returned. I am signing out for this evening. Catch you all tomorrow.

Storms were forecast but it's been quite a nice day. I've done some deadheading and tying up of plants and a bit of weeding. Just started raining this evening.
